Pennans: a large Cornish retreat with natural pool

Tucked away in the beautiful Cornish countryside, this charming period house offers the perfect escape for those looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. Set in a peaceful valley and accessed via a winding country lane, the house is a true hidden gem. Nestled behind the sand dunes of Perran Sands in a secluded pocket of stillness. With a natural swimming pool and expansive surroundings, it’s a place to slow down, breathe deeply and simply enjoy the calm. The space This secluded property is in a rural segment on the north coast located between Holywell & Perranporth with Newquay & Truro a short drive away with all the amenities you may need. Perran Sands & Holywell beaches are within walking distance of the cottage around 25-45mins, perfect for those who love a good walk or have furry friends! There are a variety of cycle routes, public footpaths and surrounding villages & fields in the area provide plenty of opportunity to roam and explore the beautiful scenery we have. The property has been renovated in places but still has features from the original 1840's old stone cottage that it once was, this can be seen in the kitchen and bedrooms. The spacious lounge has a large fireplace with comfy sofas to lounge in. There’s a large round dining table for those evening meals. Upstairs the ensuite master bedroom has a balcony overlooking the pool with scenic views across the gardens & valley. The wing at the opposite end has two gorgeous high beam bedrooms with an ensuite. In the courtyard you will find a fire pit and a coal bbq perfect for those long summer nights to gaze up at the stars! Enjoy the natural swimming pool with water lilies and dragon flies! We also have a ping pong table for those who like to dabble. Guest access Guests can access all of the property, the courtyard, natural pool and parts of the garden. Other things to note The natural pool and gardens sometimes need to be maintained especially throughout the summer months, so we will have to access them from time to time to carry out maintenance. We will aim to do this in the afternoon and try to do it when people aren’t in. We also do have resident cat, as we do live nearby, that sometimes likes to wonder down to the house as if she owns it!
