Its 28 acres have been a mountain haven and tranquil escape for more than 40 years and beckons discerning guests who aspire to escape modern-day frenzy for true tranquility. The space As seen in Southern Living magazine: Sept 2022 - The Wren is a vintage log cabin previously owned an eighth generation Highland family. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeps 6 people. The Primary Bedroom is downstairs with a king bed and en-suite bath. Upstairs has a second king bedroom that opens up to a private balcony with two lounge chairs - perfect for morning coffee or to reach a book and watch the sunlight filter through the trees. Upstairs also has a small secondary living room with queen sleeper sofa with pillowtop mattress. The design for the cabin was inspired by a relaxed, "J. Crew meets log cabin" style. The cabin is located near the entrance of the property, a quick walk down to our private lake or down to Pinky Falls, our neighborhood waterfall / swimming hole. The Wren garden featured a private hot tub that is kept heated year round and professionally maintained. Other things to note This is a newly listed version of an existing property. For your convenience, we've included screenshots of our previous five-star reviews to highlight our guests' positive experiences. -- Flat Mountain Farm is dog friendly. We allow (1) dog per cabin. FMF must be notified IN ADVANCE of your stay if you are bringing your dog. A non-refundable pet deposit of $200 will be added to the cost of your stay. If you bring your dog and do not inform FMF, a $1000 pet fee will apply. PET POLICIES: - The dog must be healthy and up to date (required every 3 years) on rabies and DHPP (vaccines for Distemper, Adenovirus (Hepatitis), Parainfluenza and Parvovirus). - The dog must be flea and tick free and current on prevention treatment. - Guests will always keep the dog on a leash outside and cannot leave Flat Mountain Farm - Guests will not leave the dog unattended in the cabin. If left alone, dog MUST be crate trained. - Guests are responsible for cleaning up any and all dog refuse, as well as cleaning dog before he/she comes indoors. Guests must bring their own towels to wipe dirty feet. - Please bag and dispose of waste in the dumpster by The Barn. - Guests will not let the dog relieve itself in the neighbors’ yards. - The dog is NOT allowed on the guest beds at any time. Evidence any pet soiling/damage on bed or bedding will incur extra cleaning or replacement fees. - As responsible pet owners, Guests agree to accept full and complete responsibility for any personal injury or property damage caused by the dog or suffered by any person during Guests’ stay at Flat Mountain Farm. - Guests understand that Flat Mountain Farm will charge accordingly for the repair of any damages, additional cleaning requirements, or flea treatment caused by dog’s presence or behavior.
