As such, we’re certain you will give the home the same care and attention you would your own residence. The home is not a hotel. The furnishings, dishes, electronics and other items are the personal belongings of the owner, chosen especially for this, their second home. In order to provide a safe and comfortable home for your stay, while also protecting the owner’s property, we ask that you abide by the policies and procedures. IMPORTANT: Some of our owners have installed outdoor cameras to protect their property at all times. Please be aware of this which could lead to a more safe, enjoyable stay for you the guest. Guest access There is no Self-Check In at any of our rental homes. For the safety of all concerned, guests must come to the rental office, in person with proof of Airbnb booking info, in Port O'Connor for the RENTAL ENVELOPE, MAP AND KEYS. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE: Airbnb DOES NOT collect Pet Fees from you, their system doesn't allow it, they are due payable to FIRST MATE VACATION RENTALS before you check in. Again, Pet Fees are IN ADDITION to the monies you will pay to Airbnb. This is a PET FRIENDLY PROPERTY additional fees are due after you book with Airbnb of $35 per pet (max 2 pets), per night which must be paid BEFORE check-in. Please be sure to read our FAQ about PET EXPECTATIONS AND CLEAN-UP -- no hair on bedding/furniture and our policy on picking up outside after your pet. Failure to abide by our pet policies will result in additional fees. Unauthorized pets will make the renter liable for up to $500 in fees. Also NO SMOKING AND NO FIREWORKS PERMITTED ON THIS PROPERTY. TRAVEL PROTECTION: If you have an unexpected issue and need to cancel or change dates for your trip or if we have a rain event from weather threats like thunderstorms, cold fronts or hurricanes and you are wondering about rescheduling or moving dates or cancelling we recommend TRIP INSURANCE or TRAVEL PROTECTION to cover these issues.
