*Nestled on Smith Mountain Lake sits Firefly Cottage~ where the sky is lit up with stars and the fireflies dance over the water. You are sure to have a vacation to remember at this one of a kind cottage that sits tall amongst the trees 🌳 The space Come and Relax on the water at this beautiful cottage located in a quiet cove~ The cottage’s wraparound porch and windows offer beautiful lake and mountain views from nearly every room. The home has an open concept kitchen that allows you to enjoy the company of friends and family while preparing meals. There are multiple dining options including two dinner tables on the main level, a large picnic table on the patio and a bistro in the lower level. The cottage is unlike most others in that it has TWO full size kitchens and two docks on the lake. Upon entry you will find the living room, two cozy bedrooms, a full bath with a tile shower, a washer and dryer for your convenience and a stocked kitchen. Off of the back porch you will find stairs that lead you to a private, lower level perfect for family and children entertainment. The lower level has its own private entrance, please note that it is only accessible through the outside patio, so you will have to go outside to enter the game room area. It has a full bathroom with a freestanding tub, another full sized kitchen to prepare meals or store drinks, a ping pong table, arcade bowling game, Foosball table, Wii console, XBOX 360 with a variety of games, a smart tv, board games and more. For sleeping accommodations, there is a pullout couch that folds into a queen size bed. This is the perfect area for additional family members or older children to hang out, but we do not recommend sleeping accommodations for young children in the lower level as it has its own entrances to the outside. You will have to walk down some steps to access the docks on the lake (52 from the patio). The water in the cove is deep and perfect for swimming, kayaking or docking your boat/jet skis. There is plenty of space as we have two private docks for your use. Firefly Cottage is only 10 minutes from Food Lion and 15 minutes from Bridgewater Plaza, a hotspot for tourists to enjoy fine dining, arcade, live music, putt putt and other entertainment. Enjoy a boat or kayak ride to Jake’s Place restaurant on the water, or Bridgewater Plaza in just a few minutes. The home is professionally cleaned and sanitized prior to your arrival. The sheets, pillowcases and comforters on the beds are all washed in between guests. All towels and blankets are washed as well. For your convenience, we provide these essentials for your stay; Bath towels, beach towels, blankets, hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, kitchen spices, wood for fire pit and marshmallow roasting sticks. While we try to keep coffee stocked as well, we can’t guarantee and recommend picking some up before your trip 🙂 We have a regular drip coffee pot. Guest access Entire cottage
