Windham Farmhouse Escape

Note: siding is just finishing & color is more gray/black trim. Set on 8+ acres, this former dairy farm is a breath of fresh air. The farmhouse, built in 1838, maintains its original charm with the benefits of an outdoor shower, outdoor barn movie screen, and hot tub. Amazing for cozy wintertime stays and summer getaways (2 ponds not for swimming & a seasonal creek, AC window units, pond-side fire pit, wraparound porch, 5 minutes to Windham center. The space Guests are welcome to use the outdoor fire pit, cast iron firebox grill, hot tub, gas grill, indoor stone fireplace, wood burning stove, jacuzzi bathtub, and deck area (furnished for eating and hanging out, with outdoor heaters for when it's chilly). Throughout the house you will find great extras - children’s toys, games, a treasure trove of VHS tapes and an indoor dining table that seats up to twelve. There's a smart TV (note: not cable) in the living room and an outdoor screen on the barn (with projector!) so that you can cast content to the big screen from your phone or tablet. Guest access All of the house (except for the basement) and all other outdoor spaces on the property. The barn, silos, and top-of-the-hill glamping trailer are not included with the rental. Other things to note AC: While the cool Catskill evenings mean that AC isn't always needed during the summer months, we install AC window units from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Kids & Babies: You will find two options for baby seating at the home (a ‘lobster’ seat to clip on to the counter or dining table and a high chair seat to clip on to a chair). There's a full size foldaway crib and crib mattress under the king bed that's above the kitchen, as well as an extra twin size mattress for a bigger kiddo. Please note that while our home is very baby friendly, it is not ‘baby-proof” (no locks on cabinets, spiral staircase, no baby gates, exposed fireplace).
