The Stone House (with secluded hot tub)

Welcome Home to The Stone House, the 140 years old showplace of 37 Gatewood properties. On site with Equestrian Adventures, you'll have some pretty majestic neighbors in the adjacent pasture. We are approximately 8 miles from the farthest outdoor center. Access to the fishing and kayaking at the famous New River is right down the street. All of of the biking and hiking trails are nearby. Golfing is just 3 minutes away. Please read other things to note section. *Cleaning fee included in price The space The Stone House is a two-story stone home with a wrap-around porch. There are giant Catawba trees in the front lawn, which features a sitting area with a large fire pit. The hot tub is on the top desk of a structure next to the house. You'll enter The Stone House through a quaint kitchen that has a washer and dryer for your convenience. Then, you'll enter into a dining area with plenty of seating. There is a full bathroom, two bedrooms, and a front room with plenty of space to visit. The front room has a tv, games to choose from, and three couches. Two of the three couches are futons. Linens, pillows, and blankets are ready for use. Upstairs, you will find another full bath and an additional sleeping area. In the private upstairs bedroom, there's a desk with plenty of natural light as well as overhead light if you're burning the midnight oil. Our wifi signal is plenty strong enough to accommodate virtual work. Please see our listing of amenities/what's kept in the kitchen/etc. to help you plan for your stay with us. Guest access We keep one cupboard to ourselves to house our cleaning supplies and other linens. Other than that, The Stone House is all yours to enjoy during your stay. The fenced pastures are for employees and guests of Equestrian Adventures only. But, the spacious lawn is yours to enjoy. We'd love to provide information about booking a trail ride while you're here - we offer a discount for our guest. Other things to note *The professional cleaning fee is included in our nightly rate. *There is another Airbnb rental behind the house. That property has its own courtyard with a fire pit and front lawn area. *Wood is supplied for one night's fire, more can be purchased from us so just let us know and we'll take care of dropping some off for you and let you know how to make payment. *The grill is charcoal type. We have a lighter. Sometimes guests leave charcoal. You can message before to see if you need to bring your own. * To clarify sleeping arrangements- there are 2 queen beds and 1 king bed. There are 2 fold out cot type beds. In the living room there are 2 fold out futons for sleeping. *We do have pots and pans. *Also, please note the owners have pets that are often on the property including cats and dogs.
