Easy access makes this an ideal getaway for car and motorcycle enthusiasts to cruise the nearby scenic highways including Cherohala Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, and many more. Adventurers can explore nearby waterfalls, lakes, and hiking trails. Enjoy quiet surroundings, go fly fishing in Sweetwater Creek, and take in the cool mountain air on the covered porch or gather around the firepit. The space The Cabin: Sweetwater Cabin is best known for its ideal location in a pristine creekfront one-acre setting with pastoral mountain views. With no neighbors nearby, you’ll wake up to hearing the creek running with mountain views. Sitting outside on the bridge and looking out at the creek makes you forget about city life or responsibilities back home. Plan on sleeping in late, cooking breakfast and dinner in the well-stocked kitchen, and having coffee on the deck listening to the rippling stream. Go fly fishing for trout in the creek at the back of the propert and play horseshoes in the grassy knoll across the bridge. Relax with your drinks around the fire pit and watch the mountains change colors at sunset. The interior has been meticulously designed with hospitality in mind, to make you feel at home. The beds and pillows are amazingly comfortable with light, tasteful and cozy decor. Two queen bedrooms with ceiling fans, quality linens, memory foam mattresses, 2 king/2 queen pillows in each room, closets with hangers, and luggage racks. Two bathrooms have extra-large towels, cosmetic wash cloths, hand towels and hair dryers. Welcome amenities include soap, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, and water and mints upon your arrival. The kitchen is fully stocked with all that's needed for your stay. We provide all cooking utensils, silverware, glassware, salt/pepper, cooking oils, napkins, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, kitchen towels. There is also a Keurig coffee maker and K-cups. The living room has plenty of comfy seating with extra blankets for cool nights by the fire. There is a TV with complimentary Netflix and Prime Video, as well as DVDs. Location: Sweetwater Cabin is conveniently located off Highway 143, on 1.3 acres, just outside of Robbinsville, NC, with easy access for all vehicles. We have a long, flat driveway for campers and trailers as well as a covered carport. Vehicles can stay parked on the upper driveway or drive down to the concrete area right by front door. For the car or motorcycle enthusiast, we are close to the Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, Hellbender 28, Blue Ridge Parkway, Smoky Mountain Loop, and many more. For the outdoor adventurer, nearby activities and natural attractions include: · Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest for hiking and exploring (30 minutes) · Lake Santeetlah and Cheoah Point Beach (15 minutes) with public lake access that is popular for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and canoeing. · Tsali Recreation Center (25 minutes) for hiking and mountain biking · The Cheoah River has several access points, with high action whitewater releases on specific dates throughout the year. It is most easily viewed along U.S. 129, on the way to the entrance of the Tail of the Dragon. · Dining experiences range from fine dining at Tapoco Lodge or Snowbird Mountain Lodge, to casual fare in Robbinsville (5 minutes away). An Ingles Grocery store is also 5 minutes away. · Nantahala Gorge (30 minutes away) for white water rafting and zip lining. · Bryson City is about a 30 minute drive from this cabin where you can enjoy the charming shops, restaurants, and breweries or check out the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad train depot located downtown. You can also access the Deep Creek entrance into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park while in town. Deep Creek is packed with great hiking trails, beautiful waterfalls, and tubing in the spring and summer months. Guest access Guests have access to the entire property, including the creek and 1+ acres. Other things to note Firewood can either be collected from fallen branches on the property or purchased from Ace Hardware down the road a couple miles in Robbinsville if you have a need during your stay.
