Welcome to Halfrack Ranch! Your year around stay begins down a road lined with tall pines inviting you to begin relaxing. As you approach the historic site you see the 100 year old cabin , nestled in the mountain forest. Upon entering you will be surprised at the modern rustic interior and amenities. The mountain air and cool temperature invite you to leave the coziness of the cabin, to explore the ranch’s fifteen acre fully fenced site,bordered by endless national forest. STR-25-0197 The space The Cabin Is 105 years old and the first homestead of the Parks- Government Prairie, completely refurbished in 2020 with modern amenities and a cozy ranch feel. But, It is still a cabin on a ranch. We have quite a bit of snow in the winter and spring and you definitely will need four-wheel-drive to access. You are surrounded by nature. We are in are in a RURAL area and we hope you will feel right at home upon entering. Guest access You are free to roam the 15 acre fenced ranch. Walk down to the tree house and the pond or visit the barn and pet the horses. The whole ranch is pet friendly. But we do ask that your pets are socialized and can get along with other animals. We have our own dogs on property :) Other things to note We do have horses grazing so when you pull through the gate please close it behind you. Pull to the rear of the cabin (west side) Dogs are welcome, we ask that they are housebroken and socialized with other dogs. We have very fun and friendly dogs of your own for you enjoyment! We require a fee but no deposit. We do have Internet ! we hope our guests will enjoy the beautiful outdoors during their stay. We do have a pellet burning stove to heat the cabin in the winter. If there is snow in the winter fall or spring, you may need 4 Wheel Dr. to access.
