The space This two-bedroom, two-bathroom home in El Cuyo sleeps up to four adults and two children, just steps from a pristine, uncrowded beach. The single biggest draw? A spacious palapa surrounded by greenery where you'll want to spend every meal, every conversation, and every quiet moment between beach walks. Bedrooms and Bathrooms Both bedrooms feature queen beds, en-suite bathrooms, closets, split-type AC, and ceiling fans. The living room includes two single daybeds that work as sofas by day and sleep one to two children at night. Room-darkening shades in every bedroom mean you can sleep in after watching the stars—El Cuyo's minimal light pollution makes the night sky unforgettable. Living, Dining, and Kitchen Area The living area opens directly onto a front porch with hammock and outdoor chairs—grab your morning coffee and settle in. Inside, a Smart TV with satellite service and plenty of natural light from oversized windows keep the space bright and open. The full kitchen comes with everything you need: oven, stove, double sink, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and all the cooking basics. The breakfast bar seats four and doubles as a great workspace when you need to catch up on email. Outdoor Amenities The covered palapa is the heart of the home. Surrounded by garden greenery, it seats eight for dining and has another hammock strung up for lazy afternoons. Fire up the BBQ grill, cook something simple, and eat outside under the palapa—it's the kind of setup that turns every meal into an occasion. Kitesurfers will appreciate the space to store gear, dry equipment, and inflate kites in the shared backyard. Good To Know Two parking spaces on-site, strong Wi-Fi, and beach essentials like chairs and an umbrella are all included. El Cuyo is a tiny fishing village with no big grocery stores, no ATM, and limited alcohol sales—plan ahead and bring what you need from Tizimin or Valladolid. The hosts can arrange fresh ceviche delivery, kitesurfing lessons, birdwatching tours, and boat excursions for an additional fee. The beach is a 30-second walk across the street, and local restaurants serving daily-caught seafood are all within five minutes on foot. Guest access You have exclusive access to the home, including the palapa, outdoor dining area, and patios. Other things to note **The maximum capacity of this house is 4 adults and 2 children.** **The washer is temporarily unavailable until further notice.** *PLEASE NOTE: El Cuyo is a tiny town. There are no big grocery stores, no ATM (the nearest cash point is in Tizimin, 90 minutes by car!), very few places accept credit or debit cards, and alcohol sales are limited. So you may want to think ahead and pack what you need and bring it with you! *ALSO NOTE: The area is a Natural Reserve with a fragile ecosystem so it’s very important to follow the instructions for maintaining the septic system and managing garbage. Guests will receive a video upon booking that explains garbage separation and waste management. You can only dispose of toilet paper in the toilets. The septic system in El Cuyo is not strong enough. Please use the trash bin provided for anything other than toilet paper. We and El Cuyo thank you in advance! Wi-Fi, flat-screen Smart TV w/satellite, bed linens, beach essentials (beach bag & umbrella), beach and bath towels, and 2 parking spots are provided complimentary during your stay. We offer added services like preparing delicious fresh ceviche and other seafood specials for you. We can also help you with tours, birdwatching, kitesurf lessons, and more. Just ask! We’re happy to help. We kindly ask that you respect the rules of the house as well as the waste management protocols. Guests will be requested to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation. A security deposit may be required prior to arrival or at check-in, subject to the booking platform used to make the reservation. This fee is charged as a credit card transaction and refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met. HOUSE RULES - Travelers must be at least 21 years of age or older to book. - No smoking of any kind is allowed on the premises. Smoking tobacco, cannabis or the use of any recreational drugs in the house is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will incur a $300 penalty. - No parties or events are permitted, illegal activity is prohibited, and excessive noise won't be tolerated. No loud music is allowed after 10 pm. Please be respectful of the neighbors. - No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed. - No tent or other structures may be set up on the grounds of the property. - Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or cover necessary extra-cleaning charges if such is needed after their stay. - Renters may be required to provide a government ID on the day of checking in or during your stay. - Please avoid moving furniture. - Pets are not allowed.
