The city is situated on a scenic bluff overlooking the confluence of the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers. The area offers a wealth of outdoor recreational opportunities, including hiking, biking, fishing, and camping. The city is also home to a number of historic sites, museums, gourmet restaurants, and charming boutiques. Looking for some activities while you’re visiting Prescott? Here are a few of our favorites: Carpenter Nature Center is a great place to explore the nature and wildlife that this area of Wisconsin has to offer. There are many different trails to hike, and the staff is always willing to help you find the perfect one for your group. The center also offers canoeing, kayaking, and fishing trips as well as educational programs about the local ecology. If you're looking for a place to connect with nature, Carpenter Nature Center is the perfect spot. Freedom Park is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon. With its playground and pavilion, the park is perfect for a picnic. The park also has a basketball court and a walking trail. If you’ve got kids with you, Freedom Park is a great place to take them for a fun afternoon. The prairie is home to more than 200 species of plants, including several rare and endangered species. It is also home to a variety of animals, including the threatened regal fritillary butterfly. Visitors can explore the prairie on foot, by bicycle, or on horseback. There are also a number of picnic areas and camping sites available in the area. Since one of the best parts of vacation is the local dining, here are a few of our favorite restaurants. -Prescott Roadhouse -Philander’s Bar & Grill -Lucille’s -Two Rivers Lodge Bar & Grill -Enrique’s Taco House -The Kitchen Table And don’t forget our favorite wineries: -Forestville Vines -Deer Lake Winery -Dixon's Autumn Harvest Winery and Orchard Guests will need a vehicle.
