Built in Appalachian style by an East Tennessee artisan, the dovetail notches are reminiscent of the historic cabins seen in nearby Cades Cove. Complete with Tulikivi soapstone fireplace, large deck, and screened-in porch overlooking incredible mountain views, you are all set to cozy up next to the fire, find the nearest hiking trail or grab the binoculars and watch the local wildlife. Just a couple of miles from the cabin, guests are invited to enjoy private lake access, an outdoor basketball area, and a picnic area. Guests will have access to the entire cabin, as well as the surrounding outdoor areas. Guests will enter with keypad lock, but your hosts will be nearby and available should you need anything. Located on six acres, this cabin gives you privacy and space to truly enjoy the peace of the Smokies. The surrounding view from this property is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The cabin is only half a mile from the Foothills Parkway! The elevation of the cabin is over 2,000 ft, so be careful driving during winter months. Additionally, you may want to go ahead and load up on groceries before heading up. There is a Food City, Kroger and Walmart near each other about 20 minutes from the cabin. The best way to get around the area is by car or motorcycle. This property has a paved driveway and a spacious, gravel parking area that is suitable for a maximum of four vehicles. There are two twin beds in the bedroom on the main floor, one king bed in the master upstairs, one twin and one twin trundle bed in the loft bedroom upstairs, and one queen bed downstairs. Depending on your cell phone carrier, you may lose cell phone service coming up the mountain. However, once you reach the cabin, you will be able to use WiFi calling for which most smart phones are equipped. The Cabin is on a sensitive septic system, so please only flush the toilet paper provided and no other products.
