Our policy is STRICTLY enforced for our guests and our cleaning crew with allergies. You agree to revoke your security deposit if any evidence of a pet is present on the property during your stay or upon check-out. Smoking NO SMOKING on the premises. You agree to revoke your security deposit if any evidence of indoor smoking is present OR if cigarette butts are improperly disposed of during your stay or upon check-out. Party policy NO PARTIES. No exceptions. Beach access From your front door, walk west for 1.5 blocks up a small hill to the Stonesteps Beach. To get to the sand, descend a large cement staircase. Access to Stonesteps, Beacons, and Grandview (local beaches) are via cliff-side ramp or staircase access to the sand and have no restrooms (the two latter do have small parking lots). Nearby beaches that offer both restrooms and parking lots and are within a few minutes drive from the home (South Ponto State Beach, Moonlight Beach, San Elijo State Beach, Swamis Beach, & South Carlsbad State Beach). Parking The driveway is behind a rolling gate and is accessible via the alleyway. You are welcome to park on the cement pad. NO garage door remote or code provided. Electric bikes You have access to two: —foldable electric pedal assist bicycles, —adult size L helmets, —bike locks, and —one bike pump —ages 12+ We offer up to FOUR additional e-bikes and adult size L helmets for an additional fee per bike/helmet pairing. Please contact us before your arrival if you would like more than the two complimentary bikes ready for your use when you arrive. Linens All linens, including sheets, towels, and duvet covers are freshly laundered before your stay. Extra pillows, throw blankets, bath and hand towels, wash cloths, as well as beach towels are provided for your convenience. Quiet hours 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Deposit Deposits are fully refundable as long as all terms and conditions are met. Any damage done to the property, above normal wear and tear—including evidence of pets or smoking, will be deducted from or deplete the deposit. Privacy The entire home and property is yours during your stay. No additional units are on the property. All guests who stay at the property overnight MUST be registered by first and last name (and children under 18 by name & age) at the time of reservation. Additionally, a RING doorbell/video system, as well as a whole house alarm, is installed on the property but will not monitored during your stay. Kindly Note In an effort to be as transparent as possible: -We are about two blocks from the train, so while train noise can be heard, trains are not required to blow their horns. (That said, every property that is close to the beach in Encinitas is going to be within a few blocks of the train, so if you want to be close to the beach, you will hear the trains. The train doesn't bother most people and we have never received a complaint about it.) -Our neighborhood's land plots measure about 4,000 square feet, so our neighbors are closeby. You will hear neighbors and passers-by talking on the streets throughout the day and into the evening. (We think that's what makes our place have a friendly vibe!) -Our garage backs up to an alley. Cars and foot traffic can be heard if the windows or garage door is open. (Still, we have a rolling gate that creates privacy.) *Please note: the City of Encinitas requires guests that book 30 days or fewer pay 10% Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT). Guests that book 31 days or more are not required to pay TOT tax. Upon booking, please be prepared to confirm your cell phone number, share full names of each guest, as well as ages of any minors. Other things to note Coffee, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, soaps, dish and laundry detergents, hand sanitizer, garbage liners, paper towels, and basic cleaning supplies are all made available at the start of your stay.
