Access our private hiking trail on the property just out your door, the perfect spot to stretch your legs and enjoy the scenery. Drawing on our own traveling experiences to make it a cozy home base for a private getaway or a jumping off point to access all that the mountains have to offer. Furnished with everything we could think you would need. We clean and maintain the cabin ourselves so we can give special attention to every detail for each guest. Relax and sleep well in the private bedroom with a king bed and a separate heat and air conditioning system to keep you at the perfect temperature. At the top of our custom, locally made, ship’s ladder you will find a sleeping loft with 3 twin beds and breathtaking views. Well behaved dogs are welcome (Maximum 2 dogs) Be sure to include your dogs in your reservation. No cats are allowed. Please be mindful to not allow dogs to roam unattended at anytime during your stay nor leave them to bark while you are away. Other dogs may be staying in nearby cabins. We welcome friendly dogs who are not aggressive. 4WD vehicle requirement: It is required that you have a 4WD or AWD vehicle in the winter months and/or good snow tires. VR21-000064 The Pagosa Peak Cabin is the first cabin on your right hand side. Drive to the top of the hill, turn your vehicle around and park facing down hill. Please park just above the front door to be sure other guests can get by. During your stay you have access to the forest around you to explore and enjoy. The cabin is located atop a private ridge to enjoy the amazing views. We have built a 1.15 mile private hiking trail that you will have access to from the parking area at the cabin. Just 1.5 miles from town you are close to all that pagosa has to offer. It is an easy commute to Kips for their delicious fish tacos or a wonderful meal at the best restaurant in town, Alley House Grille. Finish the evening at the neon mallard and find refreshment and solitude at The Ridge cabin just moments away. For bigger adventures make the scenic 26 mile drive up to Wolf Creek pass or the 60 mile drive to the Durango Silverton narrow gage train station. The cabin is on a gravel driveway. During the winter months a 4x4 vehicle (or AWD) is required make it to the top of the ridge. The gravel driveway is regularly maintained by the property manager who lives on-site and easily accessible with the proper vehicle for a mountain driveway.
