Bobo's Bungalow is a picture-perfect A-frame cabin located 2 minutes from the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park. In addition to our vicinity to breathtaking hikes, we are walking distance to the Nisqually River and a 5-minute drive to Copper Creek Restaurant, a local favorite. Amenities include a brand-new hot tub, WIFI & TV, wood burning fireplace, vintage records, fire pit, washer/dryer, frequent visits from our local deer, and 1/2 an acre of privacy. This special a-frame cabin was brought back to life by our family and designed for your comfort and togetherness. During your stay, you will have access to our property which boosts the main cabin, private hot tub, outdoor fire pit, WIFI, smart TV (with Netflix and more), record player, wood burning fireplace, washer/dryer, well-stocked kitchen, and coffee bar. We have ½ acre of forested land, which includes our 4-person hot tub, fire pit and carport. The hot tub is brand new and private, making it the perfect spot for relaxing after a long day of hiking in the national park. Inside the main cabin you will find a well-stocked kitchen with a stove, (please note that there is no oven), microwave, Nespresso coffeemaker, French press, and full-size fridge. We have salt, pepper, oils as well as coffee and tea for our guests. There is a cozy dining area which could also be used for games, puzzles, or WFH. The large windows along the front of the a-frame provide amazing natural light and a viewing gallery into the enchanting forest. Lucky you… For entertainment, there is a flat screen smart TV and a record player. Beneath the TV you will find numerous games, puzzles, and activity books to keep you fully occupied (and off your phone!). Within the Stanley lunch box, you will find a few play options for any younger visitors. There is a beautifully worn leather couch located in the living room ready to gobble you up, next to which is a classic old trunk storing the bedding for the back-room trundle beds. The fireplace in the living room is mighty and creates those cozy cabin feels while keeping the home alive and warm. Please note that as heat rises, we often find it wise to stop the fire prior to bedtime to spare the loft guests from overheating. For your convenience we will place one bundle of firewood outside of the front door and kindling can be found next to the fireplace in the wooden trunk. There is a vent underneath the fireplace to help stoke the flames and be sure to keep the door closed once the fire is roaring. Keep in mind, we have three electric wall heaters if starting a fire isn’t your thing. As you make your way through the cabin you will find the main floor bedroom at the rear of the space. A beautiful vintage trundle bed awaits you and can be a cozy day bed and reading nook or roll out to accommodate 2 people for bedtime. Within the back bedroom, there is a washer and dryer and heater if you get cold. You also have easy access to the porch and hot tub. Above the kitchen lies “The Loft.” A cozy sanctuary for R&R. The open loft has a low-profile queen bed with foam mattress. The loft has a treehouse feel. You can lay in bed and gaze out into the woods behind the property. To access this loft, you will need to mind your head while stepping up some steep stairs to enter the secluded bedroom. Please be careful on these stairs, an additional handle has been added for your safety. The bathroom has a small tub and shower with a flushing toilet. All your shampoo and conditioner needs are met along with high-end Parachute towels and makeup washcloths. Additional features include steamer, hair dryer, and storage for all of your knickknacks. Please keep in mind, we are on a septic system. We ask that guests do not flush anything other than toilet paper (and human waste) down our toilet. Thank you for being mindful of our sensitive system. Just a 5-10 minute walk from our cabin is the majestic Nisqually River. We recommend a walk along the river with your favorite beverage and book in toe and even a dip during the warm summer months. We have provided a map in the welcome book to keep you from getting lost on your way to and from the river. Please enjoy and always be conscious of your surroundings! Cellphone service is spotty on our property. We do have WIFI which supports all your streaming and web surfing needs! Please enable WIFI calling to achieve the best calling option while located inside the cabin. There is keyless entry. We will provide guests with the code prior to check-in.
