It is primarily used by Sunliner/Amtrak as a 5 car passenger/commuter train. 2 trains (one north, one south) about every hour during commute times, and it tapers down at night and middle of the day. The train passes the house in 5-7 seconds. Occasionally there is a freight train, which takes about 30 seconds to pass by the house. Most guests find it a fun, kids like to watch for it.
