Our updated home is ideally located in the heart of Corvallis on a quiet cul de sac within blocks of OSU and downtown. The north side of the home sits adjacent to Washington park, full of trees and children’s playground equipment. This location is perfect for families, OSU fans, or anyone who needs a home-away-from home. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. In 1909, this was a farmhouse on the edge of Oregon State University. Through our research at the Benton County Courthouse, we learned that this house was one of the first on this block. When we purchased her, she was neglected and run down. We were happy to save her and restore her. The white palate, both inside and out, is a tribute to her farmhouse roots, but the pops of color and modern fixtures and furniture guarantee that she will be enjoyed for a long time to come. As you enter the front door, you will see a wooden staircase leading to a second floor. The wooden slat siding leading up the stairs is a part of the original 1909 structure. Covered for years by paneling and wallpaper, the slats seem as new as they were in 1909. As you continue through the first floor, you will see a large sunny living room, an updated open kitchen, and an adjacent dining room that can accommodate eight. The dining room door leads you into a private office space (with a queen bed), and then the laundry porch. As you follow the light teal stairs up (a nod to their original color), you will find a giant sunny main suite with a California king bed, a 60 inch tv, leather couch, and a brand new mini-split AC/heating system. The spacious room feels cozy with its own tv, couch, and sumptuous bed. The room faces west, and Corvallis offers some spectacular sunset displays through the large windows. Across the hallway are the remaining two bedrooms, each with queen beds, large windows, and plenty of closet space. All bedrooms feature a full dresser, a chair, closet, and plenty of plug-ins for your devices. The two full bathrooms have been remodeled, and there is one on each level of the house, however, the upstairs bathroom is not a part of the main bedroom. We have tried to give each room a distinct personality including antique dressers and unique art, alongside hotel-white linens and comfy new beds. You'll have access to the entire home and front driveway. There are no shared spaces. There is a small guest house on the back of the property, occupied by a private renter. Parking for that house is in the back, and is not available to AirBNB guests. The neighborhood is very quiet. The street is very quiet. It's just on the outskirts of downtown so there's not as much noise. You can hear a train about three times a day but it's pretty far away. You can walk to Central Park within five minutes and Oregon State University within just about the same time. It's super convenient. There's also some of the major shopping areas about a half mile away. Parking for 4 vehicles is available in the driveway. There is additional parking available on the street but parking is not allowed directly in front of the home in the cul de sac. Please don't park there. You will get a ticket.
