‼️PLEASE NOTE: The driveway is well-maintained gravel, but it is steep. To preserve its condition and avoid getting spinning tires, 4 wheel drive or all-wheel drive is highly recommended. Thank you for your understanding!‼️ Woody’s is the perfect place to rest and relax. This gem of a cabin is nestled in a beautiful part of Virginia, surrounded by the majestic George Washington National Forest. Woody’s is only 30 minutes from Madison Heights and 37 minutes from downtown Lynchburg. The space When you walk up the steps and into the cabin, the kitchen is to your right with the TV that can be seen from the living room to your left! It’s all one big room! Straight ahead is the bedroom with a king bed! The bathroom is off of the bedroom with a full tub and shower! The laundry (washer/dryer) all one unit are in the closet in the bedroom! There is drawer space for clothes in the living room and there is hanging space for clothes in the closet over the washer/dryer! The loads in the washing/drying machine need to be fairly small! Guest access The entire cabin and big yard is available to guest! We also, have some outdoor games for guests to enjoy! Guests are welcome to hike on Cedar and Dancing Creek roads, it’s really a nice walk! There is a fire pit with wood supplied for your use! We also supply a grill with charcoal!!! Other things to note Please read this thoroughly, and please feel free to reach out with any questions that you might have, thank you 🙏 Please note⚠️, though driveway is professionally graded and graveled, the grade of the driveway is somewhat steep so all wheel drive is recommended! Make sure the car is in the lowest gear possible, using a slow and steady pace, going in and out of the driveway! Driveway Preservation: The best way to navigate UP our driveway is "low and slow." It's counterintuitive, but please shift into 1 gear-or LOW-and proceed slowly and steadily up the driveway grade. No "head of steam" is required. Start slowly and maintain a steady pace. If you spin a bit, don't punch the gas. Low and slow--you will spin LESS and have a better exit experience. There are no grocery stores or gas stations near by! The closest Walmart and Food Lion are about 25 minutes away! There is a Dollar General and convenience store around 15 minutes away in Elon! We do provide some basic breakfast items such as oatmeal packets, as well as cereal and breakfast bars, coffee and tea is included. Specialty breakfast breads are available by request for an additional fee, please inquire for more information. Fire Pit and Grill Guidelines🔥: -please place the grill further away from the cabin -fire pit must be attended to by at least one person at all times -please make sure that the fire is extinguished completely after use, we provide a hose for your convenience -we will notify you in case there’s a fire ban due to weather Thank you so much for your understanding of this matter! Seasonal info🏕: We are in the country so a bug spray and a citronella candle are provided but you may want to bring: 1. A bug spray that works best for you! 2. Long sleeve shirts 3. Pants 4. Socks All to be used on the deck and at the fire pit! We would like to let all of our Fall, Winter and Early Spring guests know that we have incorporated a discount for these months since there’s a likelihood of lady bugs(Japanese beetles🐞) wanting to get inside the cabin. Normally there are only a few and they usually stay on the ceiling and in the windows. They are not aggressive but we realize they could be an annoyance and want to be sure to alert our guests!   Cellphone reception📶: Can’t guaranteed reception anything other Verizon. Wi-Fi calling is available through the internet provider. We also provide some DVD movies for your enjoyment, please feel bring your favorite movies, if you prefer.
