Ferne Clyffe State Park is just minutes away from Capital Point Retreat, it features beautiful rock formations that can be seen from almost all the park trails. While there be sure to check out the 100ft tall waterfall on the Big Rocky Hollow trail! Located just a few miles off of I-57. Roughly 2-3 hours away from Nashville and Saint Louis and 5 hours south of Chicago. Quick flights are available from Saint Louis and Nashville to Veterans United Airport in Southern Illinois. Take I-57 South to for 3.6 miles, take exit 45 for IL 148, turn right onto the 148 S, for .7 miles then take a left onto IL 37 N. for .03 miles then turn left onto Lake of Egypt Rd. for 1 mile then turn right onto Power Plant rd. for 2.7 miles, turn right onto McKinney Chapel Rd. and then make a quick right left onto Spring Cove Rd. and another quick right onto Lake Shore Dr. N then turn right onto Quail Dr. Turn left onto John Able Dr next to the copper pole barn and then turn right onto Lake shore Dr S.
