Access to the upper floor is via a spiral staircase. On this level there is an office area, a bathroom with shower and a bedroom with two single beds that provides access to a beautiful balcony. The architecture of the house and the stone walls are typical of the area in which it is located, which makes the rural experience even more authentic. The quiet atmosphere in which this house is located allows you to hear and enjoy the chirping of birds in a private garden. The outdoor dining area is also connected to the cultivated area, where you will find fruit trees accessible to guests, vines, lemon, anona and mandarin trees, as well as sweet potatoes, spinach and other plants and flowers. The house is close to Levada dos Canhas and just minutes from Madalena do Mar, a town known for paragliding and where you can find a beach, bars and restaurants with fresh fish. Very close to the property you will find mini-markets and some bars. Canhas is about 30 minutes by car from downtown Funchal. If you choose the center of Funchal, take the opportunity to explore the city and learn about all the activities you can do during your vacation: cultural activities, radical activities, activities in nature... whatever the purpose of your visit to Madeira Island! GETTING AROUND The best way to get to the property is by transfer. Ask us to book one with our local partners. It is cheaper than the taxis you can find at the airport. If you rent a car, any navigation app can easily find the address. ACCESS TO THE PREMISES You have access to all areas of the property. INTERACTION We are always available to help or answer questions. We do our best to answer all inquiries. We also have an app for guests with all the important information about the property and other useful information for your stay. OTHER REMARKS - Under Portuguese law, all guests are required to present valid ID (passport or national identity card). - Check-in time must be set in advance. If check-in is not arranged within 48 hours in advance, it depends on the availability of our team. - Sheets and towels will be provided. We can also provide a crib, high chair and baby bath if necessary, but you should request this. There is a first aid kit, fire extinguishers and a fire blanket in the house. RULES We want you to feel at home. We only ask you to be considerate of the neighbors and the property and not to smoke in the house. ATTENTION - Please note that a tourist fee will be charged to all persons staying in the municipality of Ponta do Sol. For example, all guests staying in tourist facilities and/or accommodation who are at least 13 years of age will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay.
