Musical Farm Studio Apartment

Join us on the Mount View Hurricane Valley farm, where we grow veggies, play with the dogs and cats, feed the chickens, and sing with the turkeys. This studio apartment is full of life inside and out. The grand piano is there just for all the practice you want to do. Then, stroll up the hillside and take in the view. Light a fire in the fire pit, star-gaze, enjoy the hot tub, and just relax. A Pack-n-Play and a bassinette are available on request. The space This studio apartment has a living room space with grand piano (made in 1865) and a work space with two chairs. Guests tell us the king bed is "super comfortable." Amenities include a Roku TV above an indoor electric fireplace. The kitchen has two bar stools, a refrigerator, and a sink, plus a microwave, a Ninja Foodi Air fryer/pressure cooker combo, a crockpot, a toaster oven, a Keurig coffee maker, a tea kettle, and a waffle maker. A picnic table and propane grill are outside the apartment. The outside space: Welcome to our 18-acre farm, originally part of a much larger property now divided among four siblings. We live in the farmhouse built by Donna's grandparents when they were married in the 1930s. The large, metal building was built by Donna's father 20 years ago to house his farm "toys" and his tinkering workshop, which prominently included a well-worn lazy boy recliner. We have converted 600 square feet of that building into this studio apartment. Enjoy the property, including the views of the hillside, the stars, and the corn/cotton/soy field. This is the only guest apartment, so the outside spaces are shared only with Don and Donna. Let us know in advance and you can reserve the firepit for your private use. Take advantage of the hot tub behind the house (about 125 feet from your apartment door). Don uses the hot tub early most mornings. Otherwise, it is only used by guests of this apartment. Privacy screens block the view from the house. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the entire apartment: walk among the 18-acre farm, enjoy the fire pit, grill, hot tub, and star-gazing. Other things to note The farm has chickens, turkeys, garden areas, two cats, and two large dogs to keep you company (one is ours, the other belongs to our niece/neighbor). You might even hear coyotes at night, but they stay clear of the dog territory. The dogs will bark at strangers, but they will back away when approached (while continuing to bark). Dog treats are provided, in case you want to make friends. Your dogs are welcome, but the farm is not fenced.
