Bedroom : + Moody deep green walls + Queen-sized bed + Linen Duvet with light feather down comforter (laundered using natural detergent and no synthetic fragrance) + 100% cotton sheets + Blackout curtain or light filtering privacy window shade + Vintage wardrobe to store your clothes + Wall sconces with amber incandescent bulbs (these do not emit blue light) + Sound Machine Office / Creative writing or art space : + Full-size glass top surface desk + Easels and artist sized clipboards + Memo board for inspiration, or brainstorming sessions Bathroom : + Carrera marble tile shower surround + Soaking tub Outdoors : + The yard is still a work in progress, thank you for your patience. + Close proximity to several public river access points. You will have access to the bedroom, living room, kitchen, a dedicated creative work room and the bathroom. There are two locked doors, both are being used as maintenance/storage currently. The community of Methow is nestled at the foot of the North Cascade Mountains. We are centrally located between the Lake town of Chelan, and the Cowboy themed mountain town of Winthrop. There are numerous local hikes within an hour of the Cottage. There are many opportunities to experience and immerse yourself in nature. The town of Methow is very small, we have an operating post office, and a store that is bringing brought back to life but it's not quite there yet! The nearest restaurant options would be in Pateros, or Twisp. Approximate distance from Fawn Cottage: Wenatchee - 69 miles Leavenworth - 84 miles Chelan - 30 miles Pateros - 11 miles Carlton - 12 miles Twisp - 23 miles Winthrop - 31 miles Mazama - 45 miles Travel by car, or look into trango. This is a transportation service that serves the valley. POTENTIAL NOISE: The town of Methow is a very small, generally quiet little "town". However we are fairly close to the Fire station, so the alarm can be quite loud. Every Thursday night around 7 PM the alarm is toned to ensure it's operating properly. Guests should also be aware that the fire alarm may be toned during the Summer wildfire season. There is also a house being built nearby and construction noise may be heard during the workday on weekdays. NATURAL CLEANERS: I am sensitive to chemicals and fragrance so the house and linens are cleaned with gentle, essential oil based natural cleaners. VINTAGE CHARACTER: The Cottage is quite old, there will be squeaky floors and vintage drafty windows without screens, please keep them closed so the bugs don't think we are welcoming them inside. The bathroom only has one outlet, and overall there isn't as many outlets as a newer home would have. PETS + CHILDREN: The furnishings and experience have been catered towards a couple or solo traveler, and unfortunately at this time would not be deemed suitable for children or pets. We would like to eventually get to a point where we can change this. VISITORS: Only authorized guests are allowed on the premises/property. No unauthorized guests/visitors are allowed on the property at any time (day or night).
