The space This home has it all: - Newly remodeled, luxury EVERYTHING - Private Hot Tub with views from the gorgeous deck - Luxurious Safari Tent with privacy curtains, fire pit, and seating for 12 - Putt-putt , Bocce ball, corn hole & more - Ultra comfy linens and memory foam mattresses - So much more! This newly renovated paradise boasts a 7,500 square foot lot of pure, unadulterated awesomeness. You read that right – it's a playground of epic proportions, scattered throughout the property's grounds. This home is the downstairs half of a duplex, a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath, with it's own private deck, hot tub and grill. Access to the home is through the gate at the left of the home. The pathway leads that to a shared common area at the lower level of the property featuring a cozy safari-inspired tent (with privacy curtains), putt-putt course, and cornhole/ladder toss court. Let's talk about the views. From the back deck, you have peek-a-boo views of the harbor and downtown. Its also a great place to watch the planes land and cruise ships come in. It's like having your own private movie theater where the main attraction is the beauty of San Diego. After a long day exploring the city, sink into the warm waters of the hot tub, fire up the barbecue grill, and enjoy the finer things in life. The custom-made walnut countertops add that extra touch of elegance as you savor delicious meals while taking in the views. If you tire of the view, simply sit back and relax on the sofa while you conjure up a flick on the 60” high def smart TV, with all your favorite streaming channels. Change the colors on the electric fireplace until you find the perfect ambiance! But what about location??… "The Great Escape" is centrally located in beautiful Mission Hills, San Diego's premier neighborhood. It's a 10-minute walk to Little Italy and Banker's Hill, and a mere 5-10 minute drive or Uber ride away from all the major hotspots. Explore the vibrant neighborhoods, indulge in culinary delights, and soak up the pulsating energy of San Diego, all just outside your door. Wait, there's more! As you venture towards the bottom of the property, prepare to be blown away by the luxurious safari tent inspired by our travels to South Africa. Picture yourself sitting around a cozy fire pit, sipping fine wine, and swapping stories under the starry night sky. And for those looking for a little friendly competition, we've got a putt-putt, bocce ball, and corn hole course just outside the tent to enhance the fun. It's the perfect recipe for laughter, camaraderie, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Please note, this space is shared with guests from the upstairs unit, so its not 100% guaranteed that it will always be available. This home is located atop a hill, and there is usually free street parking within near proximity if not directly in front. When parking on a hill, be sure to crank your wheels towards the curb to avoid being ticketed. We still recommend renting a car so you can explore all San Diego has to offer. HOUSE RULES - No smoking - No pets - Check in is anytime after 4PM - Check out by 10AM Please treat our home as if it were your own...who knows, we might stay at your house one day! NO BACHELOR/BACHELORETTE PARTIES. No parties or gatherings permitted or other guests allowed on the property beyond what is on the reservation unless you received prior written approval. All guests must be over the age of 25 unless a parent is present on the property. If any of these rules are violated, you will be asked to vacate the property and all monies paid will be forfeited. LOCATION Our home is located in the best neighborhood in San Diego, offering great proximity to most attractions and fantastic views. While our properties feature high quality, acoustically rated windows and doors, our central location means you will may occasionally hear the sounds of the city including planes that take off between the hours of 6:30am and 10:00 pm. If you are very sensitive to noise, staying anywhere in the downtown San Diego area may not be the right choice. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS We will treat you like family and do anything and everything it takes to ensure your stay is remembered as one of your best trips ever! We look forward to hosting you! POLICIES 4 night minimum required for major holidays and select special events. Maximum # of guests is 4 (includes children) CANCELLATION POLICY Reservations canceled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive 100% refund. Reservations canceled at least 7 days before the start of the stay will receive 50% refund.
