Welcome to our cozy cottage nestled in beautiful Walloon Lake Village! Its in a convenient location 15 mins south of Petoskey & 10 mins north of Boyne Mountain Ski Resort, snowmobiling, golf, Avalanche Indoor Water Park, 5 min walk to public beach, shopping, playground, & restaurants.This 3 bed, 1 bath cottage (3 bed May-Nov, 2 bed in winter) offers new flooring, a fenced in yard, grill, fire pit, HOT TUB, party lights, fast wifi, 2 smart TVs, AC/Heat & a beautiful sunroom! The space -Newly Updated flooring throughout cottage (as of 5/2023) -5 min walk from our cottage to Walloon Lake Beach! (1 min drive) -Fast Wifi (1000 mbps) -Hot Tub (seats 4 comfortably; can seat up to 6 people; Hot Tub is 1 year old) -Large white picket fenced-in yard -Weber Grill (new as of May 2022) -Party Lights extending from main cottage to Bunk House (new as of summer 2022) -Fire pit with chairs (1 bundle of firewood & s'mores kit provided per reservation) -Outdoor dining table (seats 6 people) -Mini-split in main cottage (ie Air Conditioning & Heat) -2 Queen Bedrooms w small closets in main cottage (please note bedrooms are smaller in size and cannot accommodate large travel bags) -1 Bunk House (ie detached structure/3rd Bedroom) w/ Twin over Double Bunk Bed, love seat, smart TV, corn hole, fold up wagon, beach sand toys, dehumidifier, and portable Air Conditioning Unit. Bring your gaming system and HDMI cord to plug-in to our smart TV to play! -1 Full Bathroom (located in main cottage) -Beach towels are provided to guests -Sunroom with work desk/chair and comfortable seating area with coffee table -Fully stocked kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, stove/oven, and refrigerator -Kitchen table (seats 4 people) -1 dual coffee maker (regular drip & k-cup; Biggby coffee & k-cups are provided) -Living Room features Smart TV, recliner, sofa, end tables, TV stand/board games -Stackable washer & dryer in full bathroom -5 min walk to shops, dining, ice cream, general store & downtown Walloon Village -11 min drive from Boyne Mountain Resort (ie golf, skiing, indoor waterpark, restaurants, etc.) -14 min drive from downtown Petoskey -Our cottage is easy access off of 131-N (well-maintained in winter) and a flat and level road off of 131-N leading up to our cottage with flat & level parking *The Cottage is decorated for the Holidays* *The hot tub is a great spot to relax after enjoying a day at the beach or skiing! ***For our Fall & Winter guests, THE BUNK HOUSE IS CLOSED TO GUESTS FROM 11/1-4/30, AND WE CAN ACCOMODATE UP TO 6 GUESTS IN THE WINTER INSTEAD OF 7. THE MAIN COTTAGE SLEEPS 2 GUESTS FOR EACH OF THE BEDROOMS, AND THERE IS A PULLOUT QUEEN SLEEPER SOFA IN THE LIVING ROOM THAT CAN SLEEP 2 IF NEEDED. THE MOST COMFORTABLE ARRANGEMENT WILL BE 4 TOTAL GUESTS AS OUR COTTAGE IS 1000 TOTAL SQ FT. THE BUNK HOUSE IS PRIMARILY SETUP FOR KIDS to have their own space, but it is not insulated. We keep a dehumidifier running in the bunk house when it is open to guests as well as a portable A/C unit. The bunk house is OPEN from 5/1-10/31 each year for guests. Walloon Cottage is the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway in any season. Please inquire with any questions regarding our cottage. We're happy to help! Guest access We have a paved free parking area in front of the white picket fence, but it is also possible to park on the grass on either side of the parking area if needed. Please do not park in the driveway on the left side of the cottage---this is city-owned property, and they use the driveway during the week. Guests will have access to the cottage, bunk house (open 5/1-10/31 each year) and all amenities on property. *Important Note: The bunk house is closed to guests Nov. 1st-April 30th each year; during Nov. 1st-April 30th, only the main cottage is open to guests, and max sleeping capacity is 6. Other things to note The Cleaning Fee provides living wages for our cleaners and lawn care workers. For Families with Kids: We have a pack-n-play available for your use. *Note: the bunk house is 25+ years old, is not insulated, goes through long Michigan winters, is near water and has an older musty smell to. We have febreeze plug-ins that mitigate this issue well. We use an ozone machine at times in between guests, and the dehumidifier is operational during guests stay, but if you’re someone who in general has high expectations of what a bunk house built mainly for kids should be like, you should lower your expectations. Kids will love it! *We are a pet-friendly property! With a big fenced in yard, your pets will love the space! Our pet fee is $150 (max 2 total pets; dogs only). Guests agree to pick up after their pets inside and out, bring crates for them to sleep in as well as bring all food, bowls, litter boxes and pet waste bags. *Closest airports to fly into are Traverse City, MI (TVC; Cherry Capital Airport; 1 hr & 11 min from the cottage) & Pellston Regional Airport in Pellston, MI (36 mins from the cottage)*
