Gulls Nest getaway in prime Duck location!

Wow! This home has been completely (and lovingly) updated in 2020 with new paint throughout, new appliances, bedding and decor, flooring and new modern fans and fixtures. We are continually striving to add new updates to the house that will enhance the guest's experience. The house comes with 4 beach bikes, a wagon, grill&smoker, etc. Situated on Christopher Drive in the heart of Duck, the Gulls Nest is only a five minute walk to main eating, shops and less than 10 minute walk to the beach. The space Welcome! We are beach side! Our home is three floors with the first floor being ground level entrance and hosts the utility room. The utility room includes laundry for guests to use at their disposal and detergent is provided! (NO BLEACH PLEASE! We Have a septic and its not bleach friendly) Ground level space also includes covered carport, grilling, smoking (BBQ) and fish cleaning station as well as the outdoor shower area. All tools and fixins for grilling provided (seen in pictures). Outdoor games, seating and firepit area are also provided for entertainment on the ground level. There is a cart that is home to all outdoor games. Some beach toys and a wagon for carrying your necessities will also be available in this area. Pets are welcome on a limited basis. Must be crated and under 20lbs, though. Walk up to the second floor from the exterior entrance or first floor utility room where most bedrooms and sleeping quarters are. The second floor includes four tastefully renovated bedrooms, two full baths, including a master suite. Everything you need for your stay is provided including Linens, towels, wash cloths, paper products and shampoo/soap. Beds included on second floor are 1 KING, 2 QUEENS, 2 TWINS (SINGLE) BEDS. Available also on the second floor are a portable crib (pack and play) and air mattress for additional sleeping arrangements with sheets. The king bedroom is home to the only tv in the second floor with cable. The third, main living, floor is open concept living/dining/kitchen/half bath and will be stocked for your stay with a rolling cart of games and puzzles and a small library of beach reads (in the cabinet under the TV). The third floor also has the fifth bedroom- the master suite- which includes a workspace station with multi plug outlet and USB ports- perfect for those needing to work from home! Our "smart" home is Alexa friendly. There is an echo dot to use for music streaming or recipe sharing upstairs in addition to smart plugs that decrease the use of switches- Just say- "Alexa, all lights on".. or "Alexa, turn living room lights off". The living room tv has cable hook up and blue ray player for movie nights! Kitchen is stocked with dishes, spices, a keurig, all new appliances (2020) including convection baking oven and any utencil, pan or pot you may need. Household cleaning supplies are also stored in the kitchen under the sink for your utilization. Enjoy a little relaxation with your morning coffee or evening hang out spot on the deck. Lounging chairs for sunbathing and a small table and built in benches are provided. The perfect location for your stay in Duck. Walking and biking distance to the beach, the sound and the boardwalk, and all the wonderful amenities the town of Duck has to offer- once you arrive, there is no reason to use your car (although golf cart and bike rentals are only a walk away)! Guest access Guests have access to the entire property (minus a small "owner closet" on the gound level first floor). The ground level has an entry door with keypad / code lock which will be provided within 12 hours prior to arrival. Other things to note There is no parking at the beach access (there are signs). Please plan to walk, bike or ride the golf cart. If you're staying for a week or longer you might want to invest in the golf cart rental or bring your bikes (especially with kids). You can leave your bikes, wagon (one is provided) or rented cart at the beach access as there are spots to do so. Once you arrive at the access, the beach is within sight. The community on our street that shares the beach is friendly and tight knit- there is nothing to worry about leaving your personal belongings for a few hours while at the beach or even to save your spot in the sand. Trust us- Everyone does it!
