Description
We bought these beautiful 11.75 acres in Tallahassee in 2017 and built our very own tiny farmhouse! The carriage house style space is above the 2 car garage; 668 very intentionally designed sq ft for you to enjoy! Be close enough to downtown to attend all the fun events, but have the option to feel totally removed from the city & enjoy every star in the night sky! We are a working farm & love sharing our little piece of heaven so come enjoy all that Currie Hill Farm and Tallahassee has to offer! The space Beside the cozy tiny farm house, we have a beautiful 2017 fifth wheel RV that we utilize when we are hosting guests! We also have tons of space for tent camping on the farm property so please feel free to bring a tent and some sleeping bags if you or the kiddos all want to spend a night snuggled up under the stars! You are welcome to help us tend to our goats, chickens and hogs if you want some interaction with the animals, or just sit and relax on the patio overlooking our lush green pastures and enjoy a soft breeze from just off the hill. Only minutes from our farm is canoeing, kayaking, gulf beaches, our State Capitol, FSU/FAMU, a fun midtown & downtown night life, museums, shopping and many more activities! Guest access You are welcome to enjoy all of our property while you are a guest with us. We will be staying in the RV on the farm across the way and are usually available for sharing meals, farm tours, and more throughout the day. You can wander around the farm as you wish, I only ask that you please close gates as you go through them and please do not feed the animals anything aside from designated feed and pasture grasses. We set up a lovely fire pit in the yard where guests can enjoy a campfire during the cooler evenings! (Some firewood will be on hand but we encourage you to pick a bundle up at a local grocery shop or vendor if you plan on more than one night of bonfire!) We usually have roasting sticks, s’mores fixings and campfire stories ready to share if you’d like. Other things to note *** BEFORE BOOKING! *** Please note: any stay booked longer than 1 week will require you to allow us access to clean the house once every 7 days (this includes a full linen change, light dusting, vacuum and mop) and each extra cleaning will be adjusted and added into the cost of your stay. Also we are a WORKING FARM in north Florida—encountering animal sounds and smells as well as insects are inevitable! We raise many different species of domestic livestock and while we try hard to make the farm pleasant for guests, we cannot always control a rooster crowing or dog barking—they are simply doing their jobs! If you are a light sleeper we do recommend you bring ear plugs just in case. On a similar note, if you are highly allergic to or scared of animals or insects we may not be the listing for you! Also please note that we do not allow unauthorized pets on the farm for many safety reasons, so please consider these factors before booking with us! We will make sure you have keyed access to the farmhouse during your stay and will not access it during your stay without your permission and awareness, but since we do store some animal feed as well as equipment and tools in our garage under the farmhouse that is utilized daily, we ask that you please do not access the garage without prior permission or accompanied by a host. As guests you are allowed to use the washer/dryer (which are located in the garage) by appointment as indicated in the amenities section of the full house guide. Thank you!
