This private island riverside getaway on the Wild and Scenic Wekiva River offers a secluded, nature-filled experience just minutes from Lake Mary and Sanford city centers. Your bedroom has keyless private entry, queen-sized bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and half bath (toilet and sink), plus an outdoor shower just steps from your door. A short walk down a covered walkway leads to a shared full bathroom with private entrance with both a standing shower and full tub. The space Shared outdoors spaces to sit, fish, launch kayaks, birdwatch, and picnic, are available. If you are traveling on business or for pleasure, and want to pause to enjoy Florida outdoors, this is the place. Bordered by State Forests, Preserves, and Parks, you can hike, bike or paddle wild and scenic spaces just outside your door. Kayaks available with room rental. Guest access You also have keyless entry to a sunroom with breakfast nook and a small refrigerator reserved for your perishable food items. A coffee pot, toaster, and small dining table are here for your use. A floating dock just outside the sunroom window makes it easy to go for a kayak paddle whenever you're ready. Two kayaks will be made available with room rental and we will be glad to suggest short and long paddle routes on the Wekiva River. You are also welcome to fish from the dock, swim, picnic, or cook smores on a campfire. Hiking trails in the Seminole State Forest and Lower Wekiva Preserve are minutes away from your front door. During your stay Rick and Linda will be available during your stay to help guide you to dining, fishing, hiking, kayaking, bird-watching, and other local attractions.
