Need a change of scenery? Come enjoy a few fun days on the lake and comfortable nights among the stars in the luxurious Paracas Tent at The Juniper Ranch & Retreat. The Juniper is situated between Austin and San Antonio in picturesque Texas Hill Country, only minutes from the beautiful Canyon Lake. We're conveniently located within 5-10 mins of several boat ramps and parks on the lake, as well as a golf course, wineries and other attractions. Plus, the Guadalupe River is just up the road. The space The lovely Paracas Tent is secluded for privacy, and features its own private hot tub, stock tank dipping pool*, hammock, propane grill, picnic table and propane fire pit. (*Please note, the pool is only open from Memorial Day through the end of September.) This luxury canvas bell tent is equipped with a cozy full bed, coffee maker, full-size mini refrigerator, A/C, heat, and WiFi. All of the essentials are included, from plates to towels to grill utensils. Beautiful, open-air bathrooms with flushing toilets and hot showers are only a few steps away. (Note: Shared space.) Parking is only a very short walk up the path from the tent. A wagon is provided to transport your luggage. Note: While propane for the grill is provided free of charge due to repeated excessive use of propane at the fire pits, we charge a $10/night fee to rent propane for the fire pit, or you can supply your own propane. No wood fires allowed. — In addition to the many fun activities to do on Canyon Lake, The Juniper is within 15-30 mins of numerous Guadalupe River tubing and rafting sites, Whitewater Amphitheater and Gruene Hall, Natural Bridge Caverns and Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo, and more. The Juniper is also conveniently located within 30 mins of New Braunfels, Wimberley and Gruene, and an hour of San Antonio, Austin and Fredericksburg. Please note: Check-in begins at 3 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m. Other things to note *Note*: There are outdoor security cameras on site. These cameras are NOT continuously recording. They are motion-activated cameras situated to capture people entering and exiting the sites, and they record for only 5 seconds at a time after being activated. There are zero cameras inside any spaces. We have gone out of our way to ensure guests are able to have a private experience here, and we have absolutely no intention of compromising that. As your hosts and small business owners, we simply have an obligation to keep our guests and our property safe. Cameras are only reviewed when incidents are reported.
