In less than 2 miles is Zavala Monastery, which dates from the 13th c. and the cave Vjetrenica, the largest and most important cave in Bosnia and Herzegovina. To the Croatian coast you can reach for 25 minutes by car, and to the Dubrovnik for an hour. You will be warmly welcomed by the hosts Beba and Dragan with their traditional specialties which includes domestic, organic garden food, goat products, wine, brandy e.t.c. Slightly above the famous Popovo field (Popovo polje), on the slopes of the small hill, lies the village Cvaljina that will connect you with nature again. In the near surrounding (less than 2 miles) is Zavala Monastery (manastir Zavala), which dates from the 13th century and the cave Vjetrenica - the largest and most important cave in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Inside the cave you can find the only exclusively cave-dwelling chordate species found in Europe - the olm (čovječja ribica). On the road from Trebinje to Čvaljina is the village of Mrkonjići (less than 10 miles away) which is an birthplace of St. Basil of Ostrog (Sv. Vasilije Ostroški). To the Croatian coast (small place Slano) you can reach for 25 minutes by car, and to the beautiful city of Dubrovnik for an hour (60 minutes). After an all day tour, you will be warmly welcomed by the hosts Beba and Dragan Pendo with traditional specialities from Herzegovina (Hercegovina) which includes domestic, organic garden food, and also domestic goat products, wine and brandy (rakija), e.t.c. During the day, the view from the apartments terrace provide an wonderful sight of the sunbathed Popovo field, and when the night falls, you can fell fanciful silence of enormous sleeping field which rests under the countless stars. Guest access The old house is home where hosts live, but in the same courtyard is the new house which is reserved for guests. The new house has two bedrooms, the living room with the kitchen and large terrace. House has one bathroom that is shared with hosts.
