Description

the peace of st Francis and his blessed and beloved animals greet you in silence at st Francis farm ... lakes and farm zoo cabins ... Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay Luxury linens in your luxury cabins and you open up to lakefront! these cabins are private and hand made with wood from our hand manned mill on site; each home offers private lakefront firepit with wood, outdoor grill table, and seating. The space A story that tells like THE HOUSE THAT JACK BUILT... We call one of the houses "The BACON HOUSE" because the siding looks like bacon haha and it was built originally for our daughter who loves bacon!!! My husband and daughter built this tiny house cabin in the shop one winter and in spring they drug it out to the lake!!! (that he had built her over the winter!!!) ***** ***** ***** We have 4 privately placed cabins on one private lake... 1. the bacon house 🥓🏡 2. the blue house 💙🏡 *3. the Christmas loft🏡 *4. and the kangaroo🦘🏡 cabin! *please note the 3. loft and 4. the kangaroo cabin are a duplex YOU DO HAVE AN OPTION FOR NO DUPLEX STAY! Or accept the invitation of a unique *glamping* family experience...or, the other side can be closed to other guests your entire stay for an additional 100. or the additional cabin can be used by your family! during your entire stay for 150. There is a shared porch; but each side has their own areas with private lakefront outdoor seating with table, fire pit, wood stack, grill... There is, on the property, a large group pavilion that's covered with 2 large picnic tables, larger grill and there are benches, chairs, tables throughout the lakefront... Guest access YOU have access to ERNIE the KANGAROO and others during your stay!!! and flashlights in your cabins for night time walking! +Welcome to St Francis Farm Tyler! I am your Host Shelly Williams, and my husband, which due to his multiple college degrees and my upmost respect, I refer to as "Mr. Williams" has about 80 acres that he welcomes you and your FAMILY to freely, EXPLORE! so please be respectful and kind! If you and your family see an open gate EXPLORE! it might be the way to ELK LAKE !!! ..which is a view you will never forget... go past elk lake down the steep pine needle covered hill and continue down and over the 100 year old dam for another breathtaking lake level view... after crossing the dam that over 100 years ago mule wagons used daily when chiming into Tyler, you will find what was the Williams family's past hayfield. it's about 20 acres..a great walking, jogging, dog walking, horse riding, let your kids run freely without correcting them! long blaze trail cut in the grass that follows the property line all the way around the hayfield and back to the dam and hill . ***now ***FARM RULE*** number 1: IF A GATE IS OPEN LEAVE IT OPEN/ IF A GATE IS CLOSED do not DO NOT EVER OPEN A CLOSED GATE. ** No access INTO high fence under any circumstance **prior approval required for dogs due to the zoological display of so many species unknown to even service dogs. **LEASHED dogs 100% of your stay only; dogs may not be left unattended in cabins ***please NO SMOKING INDOORS ***NO SMOKING in common areas or where smoke will drift to a resident zoological animal or any OTHER GUEST CABINS ***To SMOKING guests: I BEG YOU please REMOVE ALL CIGARETTE BUTTS because one of the animals can eat that cigarette butt and DIE.... what if it was ERNIE the KANGAROO who is at one of only 4 zoo's in the United States with Eastern grey kangaroo? ***St Francis Farm began from when Mrs Williams was young and was bringing ponies in to see people that were dying. Mrs Williams' first patient was a child that was dying because her parents smoked; Her parents didn't stop smoking and it made her die. At that moment Mrs Williams and her famous now over 40yr old pony Rio were asked what their program was called; Mrs Williams didn't have an answer she just was doing this because she saw it bring people joy she hadn't realized yet that she was "a program"......"St Francis Farm" she answered to the hospital staff. She didn't even know anything about St Francis other than always seeing statues of him with animals. Some years later after meeting Mr Williams he introduced her to the Catholic faith where she studied and learned that St Francis is who Mother, now saint Mother Teresa modeled her life after. He stayed with lepers as they died in the streets! and communicated with all species of animals!!! wow! what a story! Welcome to St Francis Farm! Other things to note Thank you for helping feed all the ERNIE's!!! Wahoooo thank you for choosing us- our small business supports environment and enrichment for the ANIMALS, which your VISIT is part of that enrichment- they love GUESTS! esp the blind small black jack near your cabins-his favorite visitor is a leashed dog! they LOVE each other! and he is bred to stomp them! but in contained situations, his true ❤️ shows!!! we very proud of that!
