The Fernwood Chalet has 2 levels and 2 entrances. Enjoy nature and Mountain Views from every window in the house. This is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home featuring a wrap-around deck and hot tub off the master bedroom. The design esthetic is updated vintage, mid-century with some quirky twists. The main floor entrance is off the deck. Walk into the perfect place to gather with your crew. Enjoy the open floor plan featuring a kitchen/living room with a wood-burning fireplace/dining room/loft. This great room features a high ceiling and pine walls with large windows giving you the perfect chalet vibe. Smart TV on the mantle above fireplace. The Master bedroom and other king-size bedrooms and full bathroom are on this level too. The master bedroom also has a Smart TV. The kitchen is stocked with anything you would need and features a full coffee area (coffee pot, espresso cappuccino maker, and milk frother). Tea kettle and assorted teas are provided as well. The kitchen has a dishwasher/instapot/toaster/ninja/mixer/baking pans/roasting pans/cast iron skillet/Dutch oven ... The second entrance is to the second floor below leading to the painted, fern-adorned mudroom. Opposite the mudroom, you will find the custom bar area with beverage fridges perfect for your aprés ski. Next to the bar area is another comfy living room with a large projector for your movie night! 2 more bedrooms on this level, one queen size and one twin-size bunk. Full bathroom, and laundry room. Outside enjoy the the wrap-around deck with a full dining area, BBQ, loungers, and gas fire pit to enjoy sunsets, and during the summer beautiful flowers and ferns are everywhere! Further out you will find a full fire pit area with Adirondack chairs, perfect for s'mores under the stars. Make your stay extra enjoyable and take advantage of the spa amenities offers on the property including the infrared sauna and the hot tub. We have a wonderful massage therapist we work with if you care to add in a massage! Spa robes are provided for each guest :) Our water is from a natural spring and is safe to drink, but some may prefer bottled. Up to you! We have great high-speed internet, but cell phone service is spotty. You can always make phone calls on the Internet though! Dogs are welcome. 2 dogs max, $75 fee applies for extra cleaning. Very kid-friendly. We provide pack-n-play, blow-up twin mattresses, sound machines, monitors, night lights, a kid pool, toys, books, wagon. Great Lake nearby with a playground and beach and FREE paddle boards, paddle boats, and canoe rental. ***PLEASE NOTE**** This is a country home so please be respectful of your trash and do not leave food out at night. There is a trash shed beside the house to sort recycling and store trash during your stay. This is the safest place for trash to keep bears and other pests away! You must remove all food and trash upon departure. The local Windham trash transfer is 10 minutes away. ****During winter months (November-March) you MUST HAVE 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE WITH WINTER TIRES. The house is located on a private, steep road!**** ***for summer bookings please keep in mind this is a mountain house so no central AC. We do have ceiling fans for every room on the main floor and also portable AC units for upstairs bedrooms. This does help to cool off the kitchen and living room. The second floor always stays very cool and fans are provided as well.
