Charming Cape Cod close to downtown Harrisburg
Charming cape cod on quiet, dead end street. Fully furnished 3 BR/2 baths and well-equipped kitchen. The backyard is fenced. House broken, well-trained dogs are permitted (please notify me on booking - $75 fee). Local restaurants and coffee shop within 1 mile, a short walk through the neighborhood. 5 minutes to downtown Harrisburg and <30 minutes to Hershey or Gettysburg (see local guide in listing). *This is a primary residence when not rented - please respect the contents of the house. Guests have access to the entire house and yard except the basement. The whole house and yard, except the basement This is a charming, quiet community with many amenities including parks and restaurants within walking distance. Some of my favorites within a walkable 1 mile are Seibert Park, Cornerstone Coffeehouse, The Watershed Pub, Cedars Restaurants, Pennsylvania Bakery and Stevie's Bistro. This is a kid-friendly, bike-friendly community. If you want more of a challenge, you can also bike or run across the Harvey Taylor bridge to downtown Harrisburg where the capitol is (<6 miles roundtrip). Free street parking directly out front. Welcome to my home! Because this is my primary residence when I am not traveling, my personal belongings are also here, but out of the way. The closets in each of the rooms are empty and for your use, but please do not use the closet at the back of the upstairs bathroom. You are welcome to the coffee station, spices and cooking supplies. The television has xfinity and hulu with large libraries of free, on-demand entertainment. If you would like to rent or purchase any entertainment, please reimburse me via venmo, paypal or cash. There are candles in the fireplace that make the tv room very cozy when lit. Unfortunately, I have not had the chimney cleaned this year, so I ask that you do not light any wood burning fires during your stay and that you just use the candles. The thermostat is in the hallway outside of the 1st floor bathroom. There is central air throughout the house, but also two minisplits upstairs to help keep it cool in the summer. You are welcome to use the remotes to change the temperature up and down but please do not turn them off or change the settings. Trash and recycling pickup is early Wednesday morning. You can wheel the trash cans located to the right of the house outside to the curb Tuesday evening for service. The house is all yours and I hope you feel very comfortable during your stay!
