Casa da Serra, Talasnal Village

Located in the beautiful schist village of Talasnal, Casa da Serra offers a unique experience in a comfortable and cozy environment, ideally adapted for 1 couple but with the possibility of accommodating 2 more guests on a sofa bed. As we have other houses in the Village (Casa do Talasnal, Casa da Beatriz and Casa do Tomás) we can also accommodate groups of friends. Isolated in the mountains, the village becomes a perfect place for those looking for tranquility and engagement with nature. The space The house's restoration was completed in 2023 with full respect for the region's native characteristics, using typical materials such as schist and wood, and its interior was equipped with all the comfort and amenities required today. The house is spread over 3 floors. The ground floor consists of a small fully equipped kitchen and living/dining room with wood-burning stove and sofa bed. On the 1st floor, there is a bedroom with a private bathroom and on the 3rd floor, there is access to a spectacular balcony, ideal for relaxing or enjoying the beautiful views of the village and mountains or even the stars at night (Talasnal is considered a Dark Sky destination). Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house. Other things to note In the village, there are restaurants where you can taste the delicacies of the region, cafes where they serve typical cakes and light meals. Nearby we can explore several schist villages, natural pools, and even the place where the ice that was used by the royalty in Lisbon was produced back in time. The nearest village, Lousã, is 11 km away, where there are supermarkets, restaurants and shops in general, and Coimbra university city is just 40 km away. Lisbon is 2 hours/200 km away and Porto is 1 hour 45 minutes/165 km away.
