Enjoy watching the abundant swans (winters) or fishing in Lake Tapps. The space Close to: Sea-Tac International Airport (24 miles) Seattle downtown (30 miles) Crystal Mountain Resort (54 miles - about an hour's drive) Mt Rainier National Park (67 miles - about a 1.5-hour drive) When you first arrive and enter your digital access code, you will enter the foyer, which opens onto a spacious wooden deck with a fantastic view of Lake Tapps. As you enter, you'll find a half-bathroom for your convenience. Then, you'll discover the main bedroom, which has a California King bed, a cozy fireplace, an attached bath with a walk-in shower, a jetted bathtub for ultimate relaxation, and his-and-her sinks for added convenience. Next to the entry (on your left) is a hallway leading to the laundry room, which features a full washer and dryer unit. Continuing down the hallway, you will enter the tile-floored kitchen and dining room with expansive lake views. Connected to the foyer and dining/kitchen is the living room (with two comfy pullout couches, a coffee table, a 75-inch TV, and a fireplace) with beautiful views of Lake Tapps. The foyer, living room, dining space, and kitchen form a spacious, interconnected hall that provides panoramic views of Lake Tapps from every corner. The living space opens to a large wooden deck with a sun umbrella, BBQ, and patio furniture. The deck provides access to the lawn and beautiful Lake Tapps. For your entertainment, we have a second spacious living room downstairs, equipped with a 55-inch TV and a selection of board games. The wooden-floored foyer leads to bedroom 2, featuring a Queen bed and a lake view, and bedroom 3, which has a Queen bed, a full bath, and a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator and sinks. A sliding door provides access to the concrete patio, lawn, and the beautiful Lake Tapps. Each room is tastefully decorated to create a welcoming ambiance. Our backyard is a heaven for outdoor enthusiasts. It features a large grass area divided into two halves by a concrete athletic court. It's the perfect spot to engage in a friendly game of pickleball or enjoy the spacious outdoors. The front yard has ample concrete space for playing basketball 🏀 and parking a few cars. In the bedrooms, we use only 100% cotton bedding, and the bathrooms are stocked with cotton towels and branded toiletries. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let us know. Guest access As our guest, you'll have the entire home, expansive lawns, 80 feet of private lakefront, a secluded athletic court, and a discreet paved driveway for parking, all to yourself. You will have access to the entire property, except for two locked closets and the garage. Other things to note Lake Tapps is a reservoir in Pierce County, Washington. Its surface area is about 4.5 square miles (12 km), and its shoreline is about 45 miles (72 km). Please note that the reservoir water level is lowered from November through March each year (approximately 5-10 feet), and motorboat access is unavailable during these months. The Sunset Lake Retreat, nestled against the stunning Lake Tapps, offers a safe and enjoyable environment for swimming, floating, and other water activities. We prioritize your safety and want to ensure you have a pleasant experience. Therefore, we advise against diving and jumping into the lake due to submerged stumps just below the surface, a short distance from home. We also discourage using motor boats/jet skis in this area if you are unfamiliar with this particular section of the Lake. Small, non-motorized vessels are more suitable in this part of the lake. Liability Waiver: You agree to waive any claim against the Host for accidents or claims arising from accessing the lake (swimming or using any floating devices, e.g., kayaks, inflatables, OR motorable devices, e.g., boats, jet skies). All Guests in your party acknowledge and agree that they have seen this page and read and understand this waiver. They recognize that booking constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between the Guests and the Host.
