The space Quinta da Xandica: Farm Stays | Experiences | Retreats We chose this name for the new concept of rural tourism at our Quinta, to represent the greatest sensation we feel when embraced by these natural landscapes - it’s a wholesome and relaxing “Sigh” that it’s felt every time one arrives here and connects with all the nature around. Our Quinta is surrounded by an idyllic landscape of mountains and vineyards in the valley of Távora river, just by the estuary where it joins Douro river. The river water reflects its shine and tranquility in the state of mind of each guest and visitor, creating a one of a kind sensorial experience. This experience is complemented by the orchestra of birds that inhabit this place, sharing their daily and extraordinary symphony. We offer large double and private rooms for two people, with a unique design that combines modern and antique touches, repurposing vintage pieces and the natural materials of the farm. Each room is ensuite, with a spacious, inviting and relaxing ambiance. The rooms are conveniently located in the main terrace of the farm, with access to the outdoor lounge and pool area, and amazing views of the valley. This listing is for the yellow room, also known as Orange Room. Guest access You are welcome to enjoy the common grounds of the Farm, with free access to the outdoor lounge and pool area. No TV available. During your stay I will be around for anything you need, and always happy to share suggestions and guidance. You are welcome! Other things to note Meals are served at the farm, breakfast, lunch and dinner, for an extra fee. At Quinta da Xandica we are dedicated to choosing the ingredients for the meals we prepare daily, with special attention to their season, origin and production. Our preference when it comes to food, is that it is local, seasonal and whenever possible, grown at the Farm. We aim to accommodate different tastes and choices when it comes to dietary preferences, keeping in mind our commitment to honour local sources and the quality of our ingredients with each selection, so that we can create unique dishes.
