**Very Steep Staircase to Second Floor. Not Suitable for Everyone. Please see Picture. Stairs are Narrow and Steep** Named after the original 1852 owner, the Rosalia is a sweet little apartment located on a quiet street in the historic village of Bath, Maine. Walking distance to the village park, restaurants, bars & boutiques, the Rosalia is located in the perfect location to explore all that Bath has to offer. Looking for a day trip? A quick drive from the Rosalia and you will discover quinte The Rosalia is located within an historic colonial home and features charming original character. There is a small kitchen and eating nook, a full bathroom with tub, a living room with a TV/ROKU. Upstairs there are two bedrooms; the master bedroom has a queen sized bed and the smaller bedroom has a full sized bed and desk. Please note, the second bedroom does not have a door so privacy is minimal. The property also has its safety certification through Breezeway so you can relax knowing your family's safety and security are a top priority. The staircase to the second floor is original and very steep. Steps are narrow and may not be suitable or accessible for everyone. About the area: Nestled along the edge of the Kennebec River, Bath has a long heritage of shipbuilding and is known as the home of the world class shipbuilder, Bath Iron Works. Our little city has also been deemed a 'distinctive destination' by the National Trust for Historic Preservation because of the abundance of 19th century homes along the tree lined streets and the charming brick architecture of downtown. The apartment is a 12-minute walk to downtown's Front Street where you will find restaurants, a brewery and café and independently owned boutiques & shops. Parking & Transportation: There is one dedicated off-street parking spot (additional on-street is available). The apartment is a 5 minute drive to Bath Iron Works; 10 minutes to Brunswick (Bowdoin College); 45 minutes to Portland and Augusta. A car is needed if you plan to venture outside of Bath. There is no public transportation including Uber or Lyft. Neighborhood: The apartment is tucked into a quiet neighborhood. Pearl Street is very charming, Willow Street does have some 'rougher' looking homes. The neighborhood is very safe. There are railroad tracks that border the driveway to the apartment. There is a fence so that the railroad tracks cannot be accessed & the tracks are seldom used. Occasionally a small train will go by during the day; they are never used at night. Noise considerations: We have a long-term tenant that lives in a separate unit within the home; you may hear them or their small dog. We ask that guests be considerate and respect quiet hours from 9pm to 7am
