Guest access The entire Big Red property is yours — all four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, full chef's kitchen, living room with fireplace, sunroom, wraparound deck, private dock, and all outdoor spaces. Kayaks, floating mat, and beach gear included. Key fob for private beach access included inside the property. The garage is excluded from guest access. Other things to note CHECK-IN: 4:00 PM CHECK-OUT: 10:00 AM THE DOCK AND SOUND — PLEASE READ BEFORE ACCESSING THE WATER Big Red sits on Bogue Sound, an active working sound with boat traffic. The area directly alongside the retaining wall contains an active oyster bed — no swimming near the retaining wall under any circumstances. All swimming must take place at the far end of the dock only. A welcome guide inside the property details the oyster bed location. No lifeguard on duty. Please share this information with all members of your group including children before anyone accesses the water. THE BEACH ACCESS Private community beach access via key fob — included with your stay, located inside the property on arrival. Approximately 7-minute walk from the house. Private community parking lot at the access point. THE SUNSETS The big red sunsets that named this house are most dramatic during fall and winter months when the sun angle is lower over Bogue Sound. Summer stays are equally spectacular — the sunsets simply run different. The dock is always the best seat in the house for the evening show. STAIRS The home requires stairs to access upper levels. Please factor in for guests with mobility limitations. THE GARAGE Off-limits to guests during your stay. PETS Pet friendly — $100/pet fee applies. Please inquire at booking.
