Just out side the neighborhood you will find a Starbucks and a couple of fast food places (2 football fields, you could walk). Conveniently located 30 minutes to downtown San Antonio and Six Flags Fiesta Texas (traffic dependent) or 25 minutes drive to New Braunfels Texas where you’ll find Schlitterbahn (voted the #1 water park in the world 22 years running), river floats, and Gruene. Also only 10 minutes from Randolph Air Force Base. Close to shopping and groceries to include Walmart, H‑E‑B (Texas grocery store), and the Forum (outdoor mall 15min). The Forum includes many restaurants and stores to include Target. Best Buy, T.J. Maxx, bed Bath and beyond, Pet smart, and Kohl’s. Also, a bunch of restaurants to include Romano’s Macaroni Grill (Italian), Chipotle, Chili’s, Panera bread, Red Robin, Genghis grill, Wendy’s, Las Palapas, la Madeleine, MOD Pizza, Outback Steakhouse, IHOP and some others. Other notable restaurants in the area "Thai Chef" is my favorite place for Thai food and just down the road. Harmon‘s barbecue is quick jump into the small town of Cibolo and just north toward I 35 is Garcia’s Mexican. For breakfast in the area there is a fancy pancake Haus on I 35 called the Magnolia pancake Haus, but you might need reservations.
