The SandBox Grotto

The Grotto is the downstairs half of a vintage beachside beachhouse owned by "the sandcastle lady" - sandy feet. With 1 bedroom and 2 full baths, it can accommodate up to 5 guests comfortably with full kitchen, spacious living area and enclosed patio/dog rest area. Fully equipped for your best pal with a large pet door and an even larger kennel. Beach toys, boogie boards — everything you need for your Padre vacation in one place. Let's build a sandcastle - that is what your hosts are famous for! The space The private area includes a large open kitchen, dining area and living room, one bedroom (elevated queen-sized bed) and two full baths - one of which includes a tub. The back door features an optional pet door and opens to a private fenced-in patio and doggy rest area. The bedroom includes a dedicated workspace desk as well as a Roku-equipped TV. This apartment is ideal for a couple or small family that travels with a dog or two. Guest access Shared spaces: The huge backyard (outside of the fenced area) is shared with the owners’ house next door, with whom it may be possible to arrange specific times when we can keep our dogs in to allow guest dogs more freedom to explore the yard without risk of encountering each other. The driveway offers room for up to 4 vehicles and is shared with guests staying in the upstairs apartment. Other things to note This apartment pairs nicely with the loft apartment upstairs.
