Relaxing Backyard Suite

Centrally located in East Austin, this custom-built modern guest suite is tucked away in a private setting, yet just steps away from everything our neighborhood has to offer. A juice bar and hip breakfast spot are located at the end of the block, and several coffee shops and popular restaurants are just a short walk or Lyft ride away. The space Enjoy the Austin lifestyle in a bright, laid-back space with wood detailing and an artful vibe. This is a single studio suite with a full bathroom and kitchenette. There is one queen bed and a couch that folds out into a futon. The kitchenette includes a microwave, full fridge (with freezer), sink, and all the basic utensils you'd need for a quick, simple meal. You'll also find a selection of tea, coffee, and a coffee maker. You are welcome to enjoy our backyard! We also provide free WIFI and a TV for streaming your favorite shows. Check-in time is 3pm or later. Access is through a keyless lock for which you'll be provided a code prior to approval, so late night check-ins are not a problem. Check-out time is 12pm. There is plenty of street parking. You will have to walk along the side of our house and into the backyard to access the unit. Our space can accommodate a single person or a couple sleeping in the queen bed. The fold down futon is better for children. It is possible for us to host 3 adults but the fold down futon is not as comfortable as a regular bed (you can message me if you want to sleep 3 back there regardless and we can make it happen!). We also have a pack-n-play. LOCATION We are located in the Cherrywood neighborhood and are within walking distance to many excellent restaurants, bars, and cafes. The bus stop is at the end of our block, and we are a 12 min. walk from the metra station. We are 7.4 miles (about 15 min drive) from Austin Bergstrom International Airport. Guest access You are welcome to hang out in our backyard! We have children, but they play in the front yard; our backyard stays pretty calm. Other things to note You must walk up our driveway and along the side of our house to get into the backyard to access the unit. There are stepping stones that lead along the side and into the back of the house, but it is not paved. We used to have chickens, but unfortunately they were all killed by a raccoon over the summer (just to explain why some guests mention the chickens!)
