Our top floor condo provides a 180° view of Lake Conroe, lake access, & a well-stocked kitchenette. Our fun & unique loft provides additional space to rest. The space We're a family of 5 that loves to travel. Our family-run Slice of the Pie Retreat is designed with all of the lodging features we've appreciated over the years. While the space is cozy, our solitude craving teenagers love being here and we appreciate the family memories we create. TO ENSURE THIS RENTAL WILL MEET YOUR TRAVEL NEEDS - please thoroughly review House Rules before booking. 3 KEY FEATURES we've incorporated into our Lake Conroe urban escape: 1. COMFORT - In our opinion, each person must get a good night's rest to avoid next day crankiness. On the first level, we offer a comfortable, queen size-pull down bed and a cozy futon. After a 9' climb up the ship ladder, you'll find a comfy full size, memory foam, floor mattress in our newly built loft. To maximize comfort, a new heating and air conditioning system was installed in 2020. 2. OPTION TO COOK - We offer a well stocked kitchenette to prepare simple family meals. Items include: - coffee maker - 4 burner cooktop - mini refrigerator/freezer - toaster oven** - microwave - blender - pots/pans - cooking & dining utensils - dishware & paper plates - wine glasses - coffee provided - cooking spray, salt, pepper provided **Not equipped with a full size oven** 3. SPACE TO LOUNGE - Lounge comfortably while you watch TV, listen to your favorite playlist on our bluetooth speaker, or catch up on social media with free wifi. WE OFFER SLING TV that broadcasts popular cable programming. LOG-IN TO YOUR STREAMING ACCOUNTS using our Roku device. While our space is cozy, there are MANY STORAGE OPTIONS AVAILABLE to keep your belongings organized and to maximize comfort. We offer more than 4 walls and a place to sleep. WE WELCOME guests of all backgrounds. CLEANING STANDARDS We personally clean our unit. We disinfect commonly used items like remotes, door knobs, entry keypad, etc. All used linens (including quilts) are cleaned between stays. Feel free to send us your questions to ease any concerns. NATURE HAPPENS Lake Conroe is host to a wide variety of wildlife. Guests may spot ospreys, great blue herons, or an occasional eagle. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish. The ecosystem of the lake also includes lizards, spiders, and lake bugs. It's part of life at the lake. We offer insect repellants, citronella candles, and tips on how to enjoy the outdoors comfortably during your stay. THE CONDOMINIUM COMPLEX We have recently updated our condo. It is helpful to note that our complex is older and our homeowners association strives to maintain it. Occasionally, there may be some noise due to maintenance (if so, this usually takes place Monday to Friday & wraps up around 5:00pm). Also, due to the initial plumbing design of the building, occasionally there may be a plumbing repair needed within the building that may require the water to be turned off for a short period of time. We have stocked our unit with water in the event that this happens.
