However, we are less than 2 miles to UT Austin and walking distance to many great restaurants, the Alamo Drafthouse theatre, pubs and coffee shops. A 10-12 minute Uber to DT. Bright, clean and modern 600 sq ft guest apartment with high-end finishes, a comfy bedroom, living room, full kitchen and a private balcony. This apartment is attached to our home (above our garage) with a separate entrance. The space We spent years thinking about what the perfect guest apartment would be like and we couldn't be happier with the final result! We love the high ceilings, hickory floors, custom cabinets, designer bathroom tile and all stainless appliances. In the winter months, after the leaves fall, downtown Austin is very visible from the kitchen windows! We are licensed through the City of Austin as a short term rental. Guest access The entire apartment is available for our guests. There is a separate/private guest entrance in the back of the house with an enclosed staircase leading to the apartment. The apartment also has a washer and dryer! Other things to note To get DT to the ACL Fest or SXSW, take Capitol Metro bus #37 to 2nd street and walk over the bridge to Zilker Park. Bus picks up at corner of Aldridge Street at roundabout by Mosaic apartments. Our neighborhood has a farmer's market every Sunday (extreme weather permitting) from 10-2. Lots of awesome local wonderfulness sold there. Located next to the old airport hangar in the main park (walk out the door, into the alley and turn left. Go to the grassy hill and you will see it).
