Welcome to Casa Luna Beach House! I am originally from Puerto Rico and the sugar sand beach and water views in the summer remind me of the hidden beaches in Puerto Rico...but in Michigan! We are so excited to share our family's beach house with you and hope to build a small family of repeat visitors who love it just as much as we do. Casa Luna Beach House is located on 50 feet of pristine Lake Huron’s sugar sand beach with 1 acre of wooded land. The entire beach house has been completely updated and renovated, including new plumbing, electrical, insulation, flooring, painting, drywall, new windows, doors, lighting, city water, new septic system, new furnace and central A/C. Further, all the appliances and furnishings are BRAND NEW – new beds (mattresses and box springs), new linens, new cozy L-shaped sectional, new table and chairs, and new refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and stove. The kitchen is fully stocked with all new kitchen items, glasses, dishes, pots, pans, and accessories. The lake side deck has a new table and chairs. The lot is deep, allowing a quiet peaceful area to enjoy Lake Huron. Ample towels are provided. The utility room has a full size washer and dryer. High speed WIFI and cable is provided on a brand new smart TV. The sugar sand beach is absolutely breathtaking, especially with the woods, fire pit, and beach house in the back drop. The lake gently pitches down so children have plenty of area to play before it gets too deep. And in the winter, the frozen lake views are amazing! The beach house is located just north of Tawas and just south of Oscoda on US 23. The area is filled with restaurants and fun activities. This is OUR home away from home and we would be delighted for you to stay (and treat it) like YOUR beach house. And why do we call it Casa Luna Beach House? Neither words nor pictures can truly explain it. Just wait until night time when the moon hits the water… The entire beach house is yours! Ivonne will be available via text and email! Casa Luna Beach House sits right on the sugar sand of Lake Huron, nestled between Tawas (a favorite tourist destination in Michigan - the Petoskey of the East Side!) and Oscoda (a more low key and quiet town). Most of our guests are looking to GET AWAY from the hustle and bustle of daily life and simply enjoy the beach (and the tranquility of the location). But if you are looking to explore outside the property, there are plenty of restaurants and places to see. Here are a few of our favorites: Our Favorite Local Restaurants: • Alcona Brew Pub, Harrisville. (Try their home brews, beef brisket, ribs and veggie burger!) • Boathouse Beer Co. and Boozery, Tawas City. (Great food and atmosphere!) • Mangos Mexican Cuisine & Tequila Bar, Main St., Tawas City. (Tacos, anyone?) • Tawas Bay Pizza Company, South of Tawas, across from park. (Excellent wood oven pizza.) • Suzie Brews in Tawas on Main Street. (Great coffee & scones.) • G’s Pizzeria and Deli, on the corner and Bay St. and Main St. in East Tawas. (They deliver to our cottage!) Places to see/things to do: 1. Lumberman’s Monument Visitor Center 2. Iargo Springs 3. Tawas Point State Park 4. Oscoda Beach Park 5. AuSable Riverqueen Boat Tour There is plenty of room to park at least 4 vehicles. No dogs or cats permitted. Host has severe dog and cat allergy that directly affects their health and safety.
