Built in 1928 and recently renovated, it is right around the corner from Abilene's Cultural District, SoDa District and Warehouse Districts. Jackalope Manor boasts a large privacy fenced back yard with plenty of room for your fur babies to roam, as well as an outbuilding housing a seating area perfect for a game of poker & a cigar or other indoor/outdoor games. Unfortunately this home is not wheelchair or walker accessible, it was built in the 30's and has very narrow doors as well as having stairs into the home. For your security and ours, there is a security camera on premises that faces the front yard and driveway. Other things to note This home is located near downtown in Abilene’s historic Old Town area, placing you close to many local attractions, events, dining, and entertainment. As with most downtown districts, you may notice foot traffic and encounter unhoused individuals in the area. To better serve our guests and to insure your accomodations are ready on time, we are unable to accommodate late checkouts or early checkins. Thanks for your understanding. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, and basic spices. Coffee is also provided and the coffee machine takes K-cups should you rather bring your morning favorite. We also are happy to provide as needed some of the items commonly forgotten by travelers such as tooth brushes, tooth paste and deodorant. There are televisions in both bedrooms and living room with streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, as well as lighting fast fiberoptic internet service. The large backyard is completely fenced with a 6' cedar fence. While smoking is not allowed inside the home, it is permitted outside. Please remember to dispose of your butts. Pets are pleased to welcome your pets but please keep them off of the furniture. Should this rule not be observed extra damage or cleaning fees my be charged. There are a selection of board games in the living room as well as several yard games (giant Jenga, giant connect four and Cornhole). The backyard hosts a converted outbuilding perfect for card games and dominos.
