Live like a local in the Stardust Bungalow, originally built in 1954! The kitchen and bathroom have both been remodeled and a third bedroom has been added since its 1950s inception. Near the bus line to downtown. Driveway has room for one car (possibly two small cars). Free street parking. Great for a staycation with comfortable beds (two are spring-free/memory foam), washer and dryer, large beautiful backyard, outdoor grill, and dreamy patio lights for beautiful Austin evenings! The space Drip coffee or French press - locally roasted grounds are provided, toaster, blender, and full kitchen that opens into the dining area featuring a Sputnik light fixture and 1970s table with seating for six. A mini bar, with wine refrigerator and glasses for adult beverages, is tucked away next to the dining table. A large sofa (Todd Oldham for Lazy Boy - super comfortable) and a loveseat with lots of pillows reside in the living room. Furniture pieces are easily repositioned for just the right angle, whether you’re watching television or connecting with those who are dining. An Apple TV is provided for your use. The washer and dryer are LG stackable and live behind sliding doors, where you will also find detergent, stain remover, dryer sheets, an iron, and table top ironing board. A first aid kit is in here, if needed, as well as a fire extinguisher. Each bedroom has been thoughtfully decorated in addition to providing hangers, luggage racks, step stools (if you want to store your luggage on the top shelf in the closet), space for clothing (in closets, as well as on a shelf or in drawers), and most importantly - comfortable beds! The bathroom is stocked with towels, bath mat, a non-slip pad, brand new bar soap for each guest, as well as Meyer’s brand pump soap. We even have a toothbrush holder! Earplugs and a hairdryer also reside here. There is a space heater in the cabinet for colder months. Feel free to use any items in the drawers or cabinet. All of the paintings and photography in the house were created by the owner, Rachel. Guest access Guests have full access and use of the home and backyard grill area during their stay. The owner has a studio and storage shed in the backyard that will not be accessible. Other things to note All of the antiques and vintage, as well as most of the artwork are from our family’s collections. Please be kind to them. Refrain from pouring anything greasy, thick, or chemical down the drains in our 1954 home. Don’t do it. This includes the kitchen and bathroom. Thank you. You will be held responsible for any damages. Only registered AirBnb users and their guests will be allowed to stay in our home. There are no third party bookings allowed via AirBnb policy.
