You’ll love our home because we are close to downtown Louisville & Jeffersonville but tucked away enough for a peaceful, relaxing stay. No early check ins allowed. The space We are located just minutes from Big Four Station, the popular walking bridge over the Ohio River, connecting downtown Jeffersonville, IN to Louisville, KY. We are also close to numerous parks, the brand new Topgolf facility, the KFC YUM Center, the Kentucky Convention Center, the Louisville Zoo, the Falls of the Ohio, The Louisville Slugger Museum, the Muhammad Ali Center, Lynn Family Soccer Stadium, Louisville Slugger Field, Kentucky Fair and Expo Center (7.8 miles), the Urban Bourbon Trail and historic Churchill Downs! We are also close to many festivals like Bourbon and Beyond, Louder than Life, Hometown Rising, Abby Road on the River, Thunder of Louisville (and other Kentucky Derby activities). There are many suggestions for things to do and places to visit in our area in the "guidebook" section of our listing. The backyard is enclosed by a brick wall which makes it very private. There is a beautiful garden and serenity fountain. The backyard also boasts an in ground pool (open May 1-Oct 1), pool house, hot tub with gazebo (open year round), and outdoor eating area. There is a large eat in kitchen that is well stocked with dishes. There is one spacious bedroom that offers a queen bed and a trundle bed. There is one bathroom and a separate vanity area. There is a theater room with 110' 3D projector screen. We have a large selection of DVD's. We also have board games and card games. Please see our "guest access" section for more details on sleeping accommodations and amenities. This is a smoke free rental. We do not allow smoking in or on our property. We are exactly 5 miles from downtown Louisville. The 2nd Street bridge is a toll FREE bridge (a.k.a. US-31). You can't miss it because it was recently painted bright yellow. It is also the fastest route to downtown Louisville. We are only 5.2 miles from the new east end bridge. That bridge goes to the east end of Louisville and is a toll bridge. If you want to avoid the tolls, the free 2nd street bridge will get you to where to need to go in Louisville. Once you get on the bridge your GPS will reroute you. It will add about 3 minutes to your commute. Guest access Guests will enter using a code on the keypad at the garage. Guests will have access to a 2 car attached garage which leads down the stairs to the private living space. Guests can also park in the driveway leading to the garage. The garage is outfitted with gym equipment that guests over 16 are welcome to use (at your own risk). Personal training is also available for an additional fee. Contact us for more information if interested. The space includes a theater room (110" screen with 3D projector) with a bar area, restroom, changing room, full kitchen including microwave, coffee pot, Keurig, refrigerator/freezer has an ice maker, dish washer, kitchen table, even a clothes washer and dryer. The large bedroom boasts new queen size bed (sleeps 2) along with a new trundle bed (2 full size beds). The theater room has a sleeper sofa with pullout queen bed (sleeps 2). There is also a queen air mattress (sleeps 2) along with an additional mattress for the sofa bed to make it much more comfortable. If you need more sleeping space you are welcome to bring an additional air mattress for the theater room. There is plenty of floor space! An inground swimming pool and hot tub access is also available. Only those listed on your reservation will be able to use the space or pool/hot tub. ***We live on the property, so we are here if you need anything! We like to meet guests at check in to show them how to work the pool, hot tub, and outdoor lights. Other than that guests typically don't see us. Everything in the listing is private and not shared with anyone outside of your reservation. This is a smoke free rental. We do not allow smoking (of any kind) in or on our property. Inside or outside. Other things to note Our home is unique in that it is basically 3 homes in one. The lower level is the only one we have listed. It is completely private from the rest of the home. No one else will be in your home and you will have your own private entrance through the attached two car garage. The door to the lower level is in the garage. The listing is 2,000 sq ft. which includes everything in the photos; theater room, bathroom, large changing room, large/full kitchen & laundry, and a large bedroom (450 sq. ft.) with a queen bed, trundle bed, & couch with a queen pull out. Nothing will be shared with anyone outside of your reservation. We expect all of our guests to respect and abide by all of our house rules. Please read them before booking. If any of them are a deal breaker for you, please do not book. We do reserve the right to ask guests to leave without issuing a refund of any house rules are broken. Each rule has been put in place due to issues from previous guests. These rules are to protect our property and our guests. This space is perfect to get away and relax. It is not the place for a party or a rowdy group.
