The Saloon

The Saloon is a 500 sq ft rustic modern retreat designed for one person: Kitchenette, living room, bathroom, laundry room, office, sleeping loft, deck with umbrella table and a front porch. Privately located á distance from the main house in á rural area. Sleeping accommodation is a loft, or a sofa. Washer/dryer and Wi-Fi but no TV. 10 minutes to Lake Norman State Park with hiking, biking, canoe/kayak rentals, camping, picnicking, and á beach. 5 minutes to I-77. Minimum stay is 30 days. The space The Saloon is a unique space with the atmosphere of a rustic cabin. It is surrounded by woods and open fields that make it a nice country retreat for people who want a peaceful place close to nature. It has an open kitchenette/ living room, laundry, bathroom, laundry, office, sleeping loft, deck and covered porch. It has Wi-Fi, but no TV. It’s located on a busy country road that is not a walkable area; however, Lake Norman State Park is only a 10 minute drive away. LKN Park has beautiful forest hiking trails with scenic views of the lake, a museum, a beach with picnic areas , and kayak or canoe rentals at the Visitors Center. The Saloon is a cozy retreat for any season, but listening to rain on the tin porch roof is magic. It is a good place for corporate workers and traveling nurses who need a fully furnished rental that includes Wi-Fi and all utilities, as well as close proximity to Int-77. There is driveway parking space for one vehicle, and extra pace for a trailer or camper. Guest access The sleeping loft has a twin mattress and there is a floating loft ladder. Other than the loft, the only sleeping accommodation is a leather sofa in the living area which is actually comfortable and makes a twin size bed for anyone who doesn’t want to climb á loft ladder . There is a kitchenette with full size refrigerator, stove, and microwave and á laundry with washer dryer. Other things to note The saloon has a small kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, coffee pot, whirlpool stove with microwave. It is not equipped for cooking large meals, but serves the purpose well for simple meals. There is a full size refrigerator. The Saloon was designed as a rural retreat with lots of natural light. It is surrounded by woods and pastures that are habitat to wild turkeys, foxes, racoons. possums, coyotes, and numerous assorted birds. Sometimes chickens and ducks visit from the farm next door.
