Perfect island vacation spot in St Hazards Resort w/ many perks! Hazards pool (opens Memorial Day), hot tub, Tiki bar, store, & restaurant-ALL steps away from Villa! Island Grind Coffee shop/SpeakEasy Bar, Gen Store & Walleyes are short strolls away. Walleyes has a souvenir shop & wading pool w/ weekend entertainment. Gen Store is a local fun spot w/best garlic bread & pizza! Water taxis are available for day trips to PutNBay! Free private WiFI! The space This beautiful remodeled Villa is a great family or friends get away where you can explore the island(s) or is a fun couples get away. Located on St. Hazards Resort, there's a community pool, community hot tub, restaurant, store, Tiki bar & lake within walking distance. Sleeps 7 in beds or 8 (1 on fold out bed). Beds are comfortable and newer! Full deck area for entertaining or hanging out w/ a fire pit in the yard area. 4 restaurants and Historic Lonz Winery museum & State Park are all within walking distance. Check out our beautiful Bass Islands counter tops! We supply toilet paper, bath towels, hand towels, & wash cloths for all guests. We have all newer bed linens, comfortable new pillows, Gas Grill, coffee, spices, basic condiments, paper towels, complimentary 1 Gallon of water (the resort has well water, we would recommend bringing water or buying water at the General Store) & other amenities included. The General Store is a 5 minutes walk if you need to purchase anything. The kitchen is fully functional where you could prepare a lot of meals if you prefer to eat in or outside on the spacious deck. Free private Wifi with Roku for guests to stream their favorite shows. Hazzards resort has a pool, hot tub, tiki bar and extensive indoor/outdoor lounge with scheduled entertainment. Hazards has a store inside next to the bar/restaurant that has souvenirs, drinks, snacks and necessity items if you forgot something. JF. Walleyes Restaurant and the General Store are within walking distance - 5 to 10 minutes. Walleye's has good food and a beautiful atmosphere with a Blue Lagoon where you can cool off, listen to music or just relax by the Blue Lagoon in the sun. JF. Walleyes also has a boutique where you can purchase souvenirs and Middle Bass Island clothing. JF. Walleye's & Hazards resort both have golf cart & bike rentals. JF. Walleyes does not accept reservations for golf cart rentals, but they have several golf carts for rent. The Island Grind Coffee shop at the Press House (behind Lonz Winery) has the BEST coffee & breakfast sandwiches on the island or any of the Islands. TRY THE BACON! - it’s the best anywhere! The Island Grind has drinks/coffees, wine slushies, food specials, confectionaries & other treats. Beautifully decorated with the best view on MBI, the Island Grind also has a Speak Easy Bar in the back with a full bar. You can go straight there after you get off the Miller Ferry, or on your way back to the Ferry, and every morning in between. There's two water taxis for daily trips from Middle Bass to Put-N-Bay and back. SonnyS makes trips almost every half hour and will have their schedule posted on their website. Bass Island Charters is a smaller water taxi that posts their weekly schedule on their FB page. Miller Ferry Boat is the only Ferry from the mainland (Catawba Is/Port Clinton) that comes to MiddleBass Island. You can bring a vehicle, but you must schedule it ahead of time - at least two weeks before your trip. If you do not want to bring a vehicle, our Villa is within walking distance to all 3 restaurants/stores on the island. It's .82 miles away (20 minute walk) and you can cut through Lonz Winery State Park & walk along the State Marina to save time. If you walk, we would recommend a rollings suitcase and maybe a wagon, depending on how much stuff you bring. The Miller Ferry website has all the information you need to include schedules, vehicle procedures and how to schedule a car. Guest access Parking is in front of the Villa. Space is limited, but if there's no spots in front of the Villa, you can park by Hazards restaurant area. Other things to note This Villa is in Hazards Resort, it is only available May through September. The pool and hot tub are open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. If weather permits, the pool will sometimes stay open a couple weeks past Labor Day. If you are staying in May or September and plan to take a day trip to PutNBay, make sure you check the SonnyS (referred to as the MiddleBass Ferry online) water taxi schedule. Schedules will not be posted until weeks before the season begins.
