Feel the breeze and let the waves sing you to sleep this summer at The Salty Fox, your seaside respite on a private street in Corolla Village. The Salty Fox is a rarely-rented second home a mere 50 yards from a private access to one of the widest and flattest beaches on the Outer Banks. And for the non beachbums in your party, all the lovely amenities of Corolla Village are a very short walk away. As our many Five Star reviews indicate, the Salty Fox has something for everyone. The space The Salty Fox is situated on a large lot with plenty of space for a game of Wiffle Ball, Spikeball, Bocce, or Croquet (sets all included). A reverse floorplan maximizes views and family gathering spaces while providing comfortable sleeping spaces for 14. The top floor holds the main gathering space, dining area, sun room, kitchen, and master suite. The living area is full of the things we love on vacation: puzzles, games, trains and blocks for the littles, books for all ages, and plenty of music to enjoy (enjoy our record player and vinyl collection or connect via Bluetooth to our Sangean radio). The sunroom has a napping couch, small library with some of our favorite authors (take a book, leave a book), foldable card table, and lots of light. Behind a cabinet you’ll find a smart TV with cable for the big game and some of our favorite DVDs for movie nights. Use the Roku on the smart TV to sign into your Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon accounts. For rainy days, there’s a Nintendo Switch. We’ve made every effort to make cooking in an away kitchen as easy as possible. Rather than having to run to the grocery store for the basics, the kitchen is stocked with spices and pantry basics. We simply ask guests to replace what they use. We have cast iron pots and pans, sharp Wusthof and Misen knives, a complete coffee station with Keurig machine and a French Press, an electric griddle for pancakes, and a new Weber grill under house. And you can feel free to take advantage of our wine rack as well, replacing the bottles you drink with some of your own favorites. Enter the house through a large foyer where you’ll find baskets to stow towels, shoes, sunblock, and sundries. The first floor has four bedrooms, two baths, and a laundry closet. The two queen bedrooms united by a jack and jill bathroom with a jacuzzi hot-tub (but no shower). The other two bedrooms have two bunkbeds in each and are united by a full bathroom. Access the shaded deck through each queen bedroom or a door off the hall. Under house you’ll find shaded space for relaxing in a hammock, an enclosed outdoor shower, cleaning table for the day’s catch, and a well-maintained Weber grill to cook it upon. Within the oversized storage closet you’ll find everything you need for a day at the beach: new chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, and so on. Further, we have an outdoor living space with a new hot tub, bar, dining table, and fridge. it's the perfect intentional space to relax after a long day at the beach, share an outdoor meal with loved ones, and take in the stars. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home during their stay. There is plenty of parking available in the driveway. Other things to note The Salty Fox is our second home and we’d love for you to enjoy it as much as we do. During the height of the summer season, we’re renting Sunday to Sunday. We love your dogs and are happy to welcome them for an additional fee of $250 (please select the pet fee option when booking.). We kindly request you leave your puppies at home.
