The Waterfall Casita: A-frame with 30ft Waterfall

Nestled among Hemlock trees & steps from a 30 ft waterfall is our cozy A-frame cabin. Sitting on 33 private acres connected to state land, enjoy waterfall views while sipping coffee in front of the fireplace. The casita was intentionally designed to feel like a home away from home. In summer, cool off in the waterfalls & private streams, in autumn take in the stunning foliage & in winter ski/snowboard at Belleayre (25 mins away). Alder Lake & the Pepacton Reservoir fishing are a 10 min drive. The space The Casita is a classic A-frame design with floor to ceiling windows in the living area. The cozy bedroom loft is accessed through a handmade spiral staircase.(Please view photos to ensure you feel comfortable climbing up and down) The Queen Bed is equipped with an organic Avocado Mattress and organic bedding/linens by Coyuchi. Fall asleep stargazing through the bedroom window and upon waking up, take in the beauty of the forest, stream and waterfall. Our 100 year old Jøtul stove is the heart of the home in winter. We provide a rack full of firewood. Additional firewood can be arranged. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook or bake your favorite meal. We provide spices, olive oil and vinegar. Please note, we have a mini-fridge with small freezer so plan accordingly. We provide you with toiletries we purchase from a zero waste shop: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, face wash, and body lotion. IMPORTANT NOTE RE: SHOWER: The Casita has a 10 gallon water heater, the water gets hot right away so no need to run the water to warm up. Hot showers will last 10-15 mins with a refill time of 10-15 mins so unfortunately, long hot showers are not possible. The Parking Area is aprx 125 feet from the Casita and requires walking up & down a slope. In the Catskills it can be muddy, icy, slippery and snowy during certain times of the year so come prepared with appropriate footwear. To explore the multiple streams & waterfalls on the property you’ll have to navigate moderate terrain or climb over the occasional fallen tree … we’re in the woods! All though it is an ongoing project there are currently no manicured trails. Please be mindful as you explore the land. We are a husband+wife team who live on the property. The casita sits on 34 acres so you’ll have your own space. Please treat our Casita with care.
