Enjoy beachfront access to the harbor – ideal for kayaking, boating, beach-combing & exploring the islands of Eggemoggin Reach. It boasts a comfortable living room with a large picture window with panoramic views of the harbor & fully equipped kitchen with a table for dining. The space Outdoor furniture is provided to enjoy the expansive lawns. Keep your kayaks on the shore and launch them from the semi-private beach. Perfect location for the sailing enthusiasts on Eggemoggin Reach, one of the most popular sailing destinations in the US. Watch the Windjammer schooners cruise by all summer long. Guest access Take a stroll along the beach, head up the driveway for a walk into town. Visit the Friend Memorial Library, Brooklin General Store, restaurant and pub, gift shops like Leaf & Anna and galleries selling locally made crafts. Don't miss the Farmer's Market on Thursdays. Brooklin is known as the wooden boat capital of the world with many boatbuilders carrying on the trade. Make a visit to Naskeag and Woodenboat Magazine and the Woodenboat School campus and Store. Other things to note Brooklin is a great location to explore the Blue Hill Peninsula and towns of Blue Hill, Deer Isle, Stonington, Castine, Brooksville and Sedgwick. You can easily make the 40 mile trip to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, but return and escape the crowds and congestion. Whereaway is typically rented by the week (7 day minimum) usually from Saturday to Saturday during the summer months July through September.
